I assume with a computer like that he knows very well how powerful it is. ;)

My computer is similar performance but not better, as I try not to be too enthusiast. I am keeping these components until DX12 is released, maybe a HDD swap in between though.

But I got to say I didn't know much about computers at all until before I bought it weeks of studying then I bought it. But I never took in consideration to study SSD and the other annoying guy was right a little bit they look a lot faster. But my computer already looks that fast I don't think it will really matter. But I might switch these in for a nice SSD later when they get cheaper and thanks Talon95 for posting your build looks pretty awesome and I don't know what you mean when you put 800/1600/1200 can you explain please thanks.

Its the clock speeds the graphics card runs at...

800 MHz core speed for the 480 CUDA cores, 1600 MHz for the shaders, and 2000 MHz for the 1.25GB of vRAM.

If you install MSI Afterburner you can set your own overclock, but you have to know what your doing and make sure to create an ample fan profile, or your video card can have a life reduction from high heats and artifacting caused by fan speeds being too low or voltages being too low... I currently give my video card overclock 1.0v and the temps sit at around 55C with the fan profile I have set.

Oh and yeah, your computer should run Crysis 2 perfectly fine maxed, you will probably need to disable the second monitor though.

When someone is trying to create a topic...and the forum detects that the topic includes something like "Will this run...", "Can i pump it to the max..." (or any other variation) in a forum where the game (or demo) it's not released yet... it should be blocked and not let you create the topic

lol my 2600k clocked at 4.7GHz is faster than his $1000 CPU and mine cost $320.00

Anyways, didn't one of the moderators say he played Crysis 2 on maximum settings with a single 580?

ok because i have seen this before ... why the **** many peoples belive that to play crysis 2 on high needs an high POWER PC with the last GPU and CPU and ram 8gb++ and blablabla .....

Some peoples need to chill because it dosent need so high specs ! is a normal game and no a prototype project !
My opinion to play it on high is this : Intel core 2 duo 2.60 ghz ( is not heavy at cpu like crysis warhead is not )
GPU gt220 or 280 no more thats my opinion , now too many belive that needs a gpu better than the gtx480 because crytek gave 6 gtx480 , well .. is not need that about the ram is recomended 3gb but 2gb(for xp users) will be enough

hah when the minimum specs came out i saw peoples writing : WHAT why so low system specs ?? why why ,
and i sayed ..wtf .. wtf they are saying !

My i5 2500K is at 5GHz with a 65C max temp under load using a £15 artic cooler 7.

Sandy bridge is awesome sauce, most CPU's can hit 4.7-5GHz without much of a problem.

I built a water cooled system broham. Not to mention some guys in Australia OC'd their 2600k to 5.0GHz on air alone and its stable with sufficient temperatures. The processor is unbelievable.

No one knows anything.

Min specs are useless.

We MUST wait for the game to come out and perhaps even a patch or two (for proper optimization) in order to know what Crysis 2 really runs like.

By the looks of things, it SHOULD be fine on high settings, max setting or ultra maybe a whole new story.

CPU speed is worthless at a certain point. Some games, there is no difference between a 2.8Ghz and a 4.5Ghzs CPU.

GPU also reach a limit, you may get more FPS, but it doesn't mean anything if you play against me and i have a lower ping than you online.

Low ping is critical, CPu and GPU do play a role, but id rather play on an old PC with min settings and low ping (talking 15-30 max) and see 50 FPS than getting 300 FPS and ping of 100.

It is a combo of ping, gpu and cpu (in that order), till they all reach the limit (or near for the game) and where skill becomes a factor.
