Well, seeing as we:
a) Do not know what TESV will be capable of, and thus cannot extrapolate possible requirements from that

AND

B) Do not know what your computer is, and thus cannot compare the requirements we don't have to it

nobody can answer your question.

That depends....

You will need to have the version with the video card and have 4 Gigs of RAM.

Well, since Alienware usually has kickass comps, definitely if it's a specific gaming computer.

But for the last time THE SPECS AREN'T KNOWN YET.

In short: Yes it will. How smoothly with which cool effects and at what FPS?? Time will tell. Since modern games tend to be far more Graphics intensive than CPU intensive the GPU along is usually a fairly good indicator of how well it will run the game. Problem being: there are minor variances between computers and seeing as we don't even know what the game looks like yet let alone what its system requirements are. A quick google sow me http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-335M.24060.0.html (Which BTW is what you should have done before posting incoherently in the forums) which shows the GPU running crysis on High with ~25 FPS. So yes, you will be able to play skyrim, but seeing as we know nothing of the game but its name and and a rendered teaser no one can say right now how well.

He keeps saying "Oblivion", yet everyone assumes he's talking about Skyrim. Is he in the wrong forum, or does he actually have the names mixed up?

I'm pretty sure I've seen the specs for the MX11 and it was good.

Personally I wouldn't bother with a laptop myself, I've had an Alienware one before and it just overheated constantly after about 1.5 years of use, they are very hard to clean out when dust, hair and dirt gets into the fans and reduces the cooling.

Also, why would you want to play on a laptop screen? I'd rather go all out and buy a good PC and a HDTV and hook it up.

I have my PC hooked up to a 48" Plasma HDTV running at 1080p, I run Oblivion at 1080 and it looks sweet :goodjob:

More than likely, no. It's the Alienware equivalent of a netbook, so no.

Let's wait with all the 'Will this computer run Skyrim' until actual specifications have been released. Or at least keep them contained in http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1148315-pc-requirement-guesses/.

I'd hate to wake up one morning and find the entire front page of these forums littered with 'Will my computer run TES5' topics.

Thanks ;)
