Will this be the most memorable TES game?

Post » Sun Jul 10, 2011 3:33 pm

For me TES4 was the most memorable. It just was. I have all the lines memorized and frequently use quotes from that game in day to day language. Played hundreds of modded and mostly unmodded hours on that game...but I sit and wonder if Skyrim will take its place or not? Do you think Skyrim will come down as the most memorable TES game? It's got nothing to do with the bells and whistles(CS condition zero is my fav FPS to date and it's several years old and outdated), but it has to do with the good times and memories the game leaves you with. You will remember the characters and moments, not the fancy lighting effects.

So that taken in mind: Will Skyrim be the most memorable TES game or no?

For me TES III was the most memorable. For a lot of people the 1st game in the series that they play will always be the most memorable.

No.

Daggerfall will always be top. It was amazing.
Skyrim probably won't even touch it. Though I do hope it will be more memorable than Morrowind or Oblivion.

Of all the TES games I've played so far (which is... two), the most memorable for me was Morrowind.

Whether Skyrim will take that honoured place has yet to be seen. To be memorable, Skyrim must either be an utter, unspeakable flop (which would be bad, but still something that would stay in my memory for a long time...) or a gaming miracle what will steal thousands of hours of my life. If it isn't either of those extremes, or at least very close... well, then I'll just call it Oblivion 2 and wait for TES VI.

No. It will always be the latest TES game that is the most memorable. And unless Skyrim is the last TES, which it isn't, it won't be the most memorable. However, it will be memorable just like all the other TES games.

At the moment, right now, Oblivion is my most memorable TES game with Daggerfall being second and Morrowind being third and Arena being last.

Daggerfall was an awful cut and paste piece of crap with a useless map and the worst dungeon design in the history of video games (I don't care if they were randomly generated).

I do think it's the most memorable though, thanks to the very well done atmosphere. Too bad it's such a shallow game under all the glitter.

Most memorable for removing the features that made TES great maybe.
No spellmaking, no attributes, no classes, fixed run speed and jump height..

No. Its sad, but Bethesda has already made its best game long ago and it was called Morrowind.

Ah yes, I remember those dungeons. So I think I'll have to agree with Daggerfall being the most memorable.

You do realize Daggerfall was made in 1996, right? :sadvaultboy:

Its certainly going to be my favorite, I love it when a game series takes it to a mysterious harsh tundra, I love the cold and I love seeing ice and snow. After the last WoW expansion, Wrath of the Lich King finished, I been hankering for another snowy land to explore in a game, this time in much better graphics.

There is no way for me to even imagine if it will be the most memorable. I can tell you, however, that this will be the most anticipated game. Oblivion introduced hundreds of thousands of new Elder Scrolls players who fell in love with this game, and they all wan't Skyrim.

But I don't see how I can say if its the most memorable until the game is released. Memory actually suggests that it might take years after its release to tell if its the most memorable. Do I believe Skyrim will be the best ES game? I dunno. I really liked Morrowind, and Oblivion's step up in graphics and animation wasn't enough to change that. But Skyrim could very well be my favorite ES game.

Huh? Skyrim is the latest TES game.

I played Morrowind first, so that's the most memorable TES game for me. Wether Skyrim beats it, remains to be seen.

Perhaps, but remember that it will depend on marketing and hype as well as the quality of the game itself.

I think the most memorable one will probably be the first one you play or your favourite.

So hard to say.

Fallout 3 was the most memorable TES game for me. (They really did change that franchise into Oblivion with guns :( )

From the looks of it, it will be a carbon copy of Norse mythology and Conan movies,so no. I don't thinkit will be paticularly memorable for art design or landscape.

Who knows. They all were memorable in their own ways. We have yet to play the game so no one can really know for sure until November.

Really? I mean think about that just now, because I found F3 to be nothing at all like Oblivion, except maybe from voice actors, and I find it rather fascinating how some people can make this connection with a straight face.

Well, I can say that I will remember the build up to Skyrim more than any other build up for a game I have experienced. And sadly its mostly for the wrong reasons, not the least of which is the general yuckiness on the boards.

Morrowind > Skyrim > Oblivion is the most likely outcome for me. Of course, I'd prefer if it was Skyrim > Morrowind > Oblivion because that means we will have another true epic on our hands.
