I was thinking of upgrading to Windows 8 soon. Microsoft claims that the upgrade will be easy and I shouldn't have to reinstall anything but I'm worried that my Bethesda games (both Fallout games and Skyrim) are going to kill themselves. I know that it causes problems for Fallout 3. What problems might I face and how will I resolve them?

I don't know actually....I have windows 8.1 and not updated from 8 to 8.1.

Mine is fine, but you can see "http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1476621-game-launches-in-windowed-mode/", some guy has problem running at full screen...!!!!
