I stopped playing skyrim when I heard there would be no new content. I started again shortly after, but with a feeling that I had been putting off, something that the light of hope was keeping at bay, but had now found its inky blackness clawing at the back of my mind. What is the point?
I didn't want to explore caves and ruins, because what was to be gained? At this point I've been around skyrim, I doubt I have seen everything. But do you know what I have seen, player relevant details. I've played one game of skyrim and only recently and reluctantly finished the MQ. I started a new game it was fun, moving the difficulty up, having to stay indoors at night to prevent vampire attacks, getting used to not having my usual bag of tricks to deal with situations. I started again for one reason, so that what ever would be happening next, content wise, I would have to earn it.
But then, as the news broke my journey became, well lame. Sure I could go explore that cave, but for what, for weapons and armor that I've been starring at for the past year it had become routine and frankly dull. A new game with all the same content of the last without the excitement that something new was on the horizon.
Observe now, my envy.( seriously looking into a PC, it will take time, and I would have to start rationing food, that I find in dumpsters.)

Don't trust strange links posted by over weight explosive ordinance? let me describe it to you. Some Sir, adds 24 new and interesting armor sets to the game for free, I would pay for this, with money, that I earn at my job.
now this

244 weapons and more of my money to never be spent.
Now Bethesda has an interesting decision to make. A game of the year addition is in the works, is it in any way complete? I wager not seeing as how no announcement has been made.( but Bethesda and announcements are apparently from the same genetic stock as the Slowpoke.)
If some random Sir, in his spare time, can come up with something as simple and awesome as this, then I would expect no less from any game of the year addition. Something like this would be a relatively simple thing to do(considering some dude already did it in his spare time, cant stress that enough) and would add some much needed flavor to are now stale soup that is the console version of the game.
What are some things that could, within reason, be added to the GOTYE that would make it worth buying to you?
TL;DR?
PC users can mod skyrim until Lovecraftian horrors from beyond space and time force us to play their version but with black jack and hokers. As posted in the link above a random and wonderful person manged to provide me the perfect example as to how to make the GOTY edition worth buying for console users.
(Why would PC users pay for something that is essentially the same thing, when you could download it for free?)
I'm not asking for whole new material types like methril or stalhrim and a new perk tree. just think like Fur armor, imagine being able to find or craft six different sets of ebony armor and weapons or for gods sake leather armor with pants.
