Will you being going to the midnight release.

Just checked the calendar and well, I almost had a nervous breakdown because it gets released on Friday!! Most games come out on Tuesdays and that's why this game will kick ass!

Easiest way to do a simultaneous midnight launch.

How so? 12 is 12 any day of the week.

I believe also that games, DVDs and music are released on Tuesdays because sales figures are released on Mondays. By releasing games on Tuesdays companies show bigger sales for their first week than releasing on a Friday, like skyrim. The only thing releasing on Friday does is possibly get people with cash in their pocket buying on a whim. People who are going to buy don't care what day it's released, they've already preordered or saved the cash for the purchase. Impulse buyers may get the game on a Friday(payday). Or they just had to go for the 11/11/11, because it looks cool? Or because 11/11/11 looks epic? And that's what they want consumers to see in feel, then buy?

Obviously, yes, to the midnight release in my living room as I press a button and the game magically unlocks at 12:01 am...

/pre-ordering Steam version
//will be stabbing some ice troll or slaying my first dragon while a bunch of deprived people are still waiting in line at gamestop

How so?

Pete said so. It's a worldwide launch and Europe has their entertainment releases on Friday, not Tuesday like the US. Pete said it's easier to go with a Friday in this situation.

I'm pretty sure there has been talk of Skyrim being a steamworks game, so even if you can buy the game at midnight you won't be able to play it until it unlocks on steam. All the games on steam I've purchased didnt unlock right at midnight, like 10 edt for civ v I remember.

So don't plan on playing all night after 12 is all I'm saying.

FNV unlocked at 12:01 am PST
DA2 unlocked a few minutes late for me, around 12:08 PST
TW2 didn't unlock until around 7 or 8am this morning, unfortunately.

Hopefully Skyrim will follow in the vein of FNV, since Bethesda was the publisher

I don't think there will be one where I live, and I'll probably just get it after school.

I will have a Chemistry class on that Friday. So not likely. I will just wait until after class ends to get and play it during the weekend.

If my gamestop has a midnight release, I will definitely go. If not I will get it first thing in the morning.

I wish I was, but I have school both Thursday and Friday, and I doubt I could get a ride. I'll probably be awake regardless, and celebrate it with the lucky ones.

How fitting would that be though given the climate of Skyrim?

Am I the only idiot on the forums who 1. Actually likes going to midnight releases, so he can play the game all through the night, and 2. Actually goes to midnight releases, so he can play the game all through the night... (mostly I did this only for Portal 2, and I will for TESV...) Though I guess another reason I like midnight releases (other then the other reasons I just stated...) is because I'm homeschooled... (and 14.....)

Your not alone... On the midnight release lol. I go to school. Buuuuut I for two love midnight releases. It's an experience to meet up with other fellow fans of the game and the anticipation of waiting in line is a real energy high! Also my Gamestop is awesome and they always do trivia and giveaway prizes too. So it makes it even more fun to attend.

I'm a night person, so a midnight release is only natural.

If they do a cool one in London with people in costume and a free glass of mead, then yes. If it's just standing in a long queue then I think my bed will win and I'll pick the game up in the morning.
