I'll see what I do when it's released. See how the final product is before getting it, then maybe wait a while 'till the mods are starting to be released.

I'm probably going to do what I did for Oblivion, Fallout 3 and New Vegas....

Pre-order the game, but the collectors edition :)

I'll pre-order the game. Allows me to play it when I get out of school. Imagine: It's a Friday. School's finished, I don't have to worry about homework. I get home, and there it is!

Next: how to spend your weekends indoors xD

I dont really understand why everyone expects this game to have so many flaws, pessimism is never a good thing.

I would really like to wait until I get my kind of mod support for the nif format. I may pre-empt that and just get it when the CK is relz, as that could potentially take several months to update niftools stuff.

if there was a max exporter in there with the CK... I'd preorder that [censored].

I don't want to. I told myself back during the buggy release of New Vegas that next time around I would wait until all the next titles issues have been resolved. I'd wisely hold out for the GOTY edition which would be shipped with additional content and all that jazz. But when I tell myself these things regarding Skyrim, I find myself feeling like I need a good pair of hip waders, because I'm clearly standing waist deep in it.

I won't be able to wait. Even if I tried I couldn't keep myself away from the forums and all it's inevitable spoilers and it would eat me alive.

First day, baby. It's a given.

As soon as it's released.

Skyrim is a special game. It isn't a "burger game" that needs to be as good as it can be when played quickly through, and then dumped to be never played again. Skyrim is a game I'm going to play a long time and patches and mods are just going to make it better as time goes on. I'm not going to miss them as I keep playing the game for years.

I dont really understand why everyone expects this game to have so many flaws, pessimism is never a good thing.

Every TES game has had boatloads of bugs and glitches - Arena to Oblivion, regardless of the operating system, game engine or platform. Skyrim will be the same - It's the nature of the beast - The open, sandbox-style game. I will wait until it is patched.

I'm gonna have to go for none of the above. I'm going to wait it out a bit and see what reviews are saying. I have every confidence that Skyrim will be amazing, but I'd rather not waste a perfectly good $50 should the impossible happen.

When Two Worlds II came out, I said "Bethesda is finished. Multiplayer, insane physics, great custom spells and potions, they're DONE." I played it (ps3) and while it was superior to Oblivion, when I saw the Skyrim demo, I went into the bathroom and put my pecker on the toilet bowl and slammed the seat on it three times. Skyrim will be the Fantasy RPG which all other RPGs are compared to. The Witcher 2 also looks amazing. PS the alchemy in two worlds 2 svcked.

I like to wait awhile. A few months of patience means the game is patched and great mods are out. Plus maybe a price drop.

Skyrim's a spring 2012 game for me :)
