Will you ever try a no-mods playthrough?

I might... nah, probably not.

I just love the BTMod in OB.

How will you know what you want modded without an initial playthrough?

Well, you don't if you're only modding something like the UI or menus.

Depends how you class a mod. I for one don't consider bug fixes to be mods as such.

Obviously it'll take time for good mods to start appearing, but I'll probably do at least one playthrough with no more than bug/annoyance fixes installed.

Plus, it'll take a while before people figure out the new CK and start pushing out mods beyond really basic stuff (like overpowered equipment, or simple "turn off half the UI" things)

This.

How will you appreciate what you change without an initial playthrough?

I've actually never done a modded playthrough with Morrowind and Oblivion even though I play on PC. :teehee:

I plan to continue that practice in Skyrim.

My practice is to play a vanilla version of the game (plus official patches and expansions) before I mod the game. I'd appreciate it first for what it is before I indulge in my own selfish needs. :)

EDIT:
Oh yeah I modded Oblivion earlier than Morrowind coz there are a lot of things I didnt like with the Vanilla version.

Nope, I'm not even going to play the vanilla game. I'm going wait 6 months until there are enough mods released to completely alter the game play and the after that I'm just going to start making a total conversion.

I only started adding Mods til after i played Oblivion, and even then the biggest was UOP 1.65 just for the bug fixes (Sooo many bug fixes :brokencomputer: )

I'll playthrough once or twice before i give start adding mods though.

It really won't. The CS will be very similar to the ones for the last four games to use it. What will really take a while is figuring out the way new features work, and of course the best way to rig equipment.

My first play through is always no mods, because I want to see the original finished product in its entirety before modding it.

I'll try, something will annoy me, then I'll find a mod to fix it.

It's going to be a few months before there are any really useful and helpful mods, and there's no way I'm waiting until then to play

And that's assuming the game needs 'fixing', which we don't cannot know yet.

I would play a modless playthrough if I had a PC.

First several playthroughs will be modless. If I remain without a PC and just use consoles, then all playthroughs will be modless. I really don't have a problem with it, considering I've been able to do the same with Oblivion and enjoyed it all the same for over 5 years.

I will be doing my first playthrough on PS3 to prevent myself from using mods, and using TGM while over encumbered.

The first playthrough for sure. I think it's always good to play a game that the devs intended before you go changing it up to suit your preferences.

I try to always try the vanilla game first, if only to choose better which mods would enhance it  I love mods!

I play on both the 360 and the PC, but I find that I enjoy playing it on the 360, more so.... I'm not a fan of mods... They always feel fake and hollow to me, like they're polluting the game itself...

I understand the feeling. I only like certain types, like the http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=oblivionmods.detail&id=25.
