Will you kill ALVOR?

Post » Tue Jul 05, 2011 2:01 am

Alvor is the blacksmith we seen in the vid.

Will you kill him? (to be accepted into the DB for example)

or just kill him and take his house (sleeping in dead owners bed confirmed)

No

I tend to RP when playing OB and will probably RP when playing Skyrim, murder is not in my nor my characters nature... And no, never joined the Dark Brotherhood... Ever.

I will eventually. Perhaps not with my first character though. I assure you, however late it may be, Alvor will DIE!!!!

Because he's the first character we know about in Skyrim, he'll be my bestest buddy

Erm in which case you missed out on the best quest line in Oblivion. You should rethink your characters nature or make a new one purely for the DB

For myself I won't kill Alvor for no reason as I role play an assassin that kills Altmer...... My character doesn't go round killing people unless he has a reason he thinks is sufficient...... Such as being Altmer

Whaa, no. I mean I am evil and kill people, steal their stuff and generally turn everything into 100% personal profit, but killing a blacksmith is not profitable in any way for my character.

First the blonde waitress and now Alvor? You need to end hating the better known NPCs in Skyrim Do'tirath. At least wait untill release, maybe they are cool people :P .

Alvor means "Serious" in the form of a noun, in Danish. Lewl.

Don't kill a man called "Serious"

No way.
First, I won't make a killer character until maybe the 4th or 5th playthrough.
And second, Alvor seems to be such a nice guy and a really good friend with his careless attitude like "I don't care if this axe is gonna be ruined, I'm not focusing on it when my best buddy Dovahkiin wants to have a chat B) "

Being a Bosmer Male is enough for me to kill someone. It's like the team at Bethesda thought "How can we make the most annoying character ever?" Then on every TES game they chose a Bosmer male. I have a pile of dead male Bosmers in my basemant, i eat Bosmer pie every day now :D I imagine the same will hold true for Skyrim

Depends.

I like my first murder (if I murder anybody) to make some sense.

In OB, the first person I killed was usually on that quest with the invisible towns folk where you had to get the scroll from the mage, if my character avoided getting his ring of protection and subsuquently had his luck brought down to one, he would go into a rage and send Ancator to his grave.

I don't generally kill townsfolk, I like the towns and cities to have as many people as possible, to feel more "alive", it at all possible. Also, why shut down a possible route for vending, quests or crafting?

Indeed, that is what my evil character also thinks. I may murder someone unimportant in a very far off place if it's profitable, but if there is nothing to be gained from it, it's a waste of time
