Will you kill Joshua Graham, "The Burned Man"?

Post » Sat Oct 17, 2009 7:39 am

Why would he being an android make him a badass? Armitage and Harkness were as easy to kill as any old human.

twas just a thought you never know but killing him or mearly defeating him would still be a satifying kill/ defeat

I see, so after the NCR wipes the bloody remains of the Legion off the Dam a second time is Caesar going to have the same thing done to Lanius?

Legate Lanius is supposedly a invincible immortal badass and the Courier kills them too (and possibly Caesar). In Graham's case, your character is going to effectively have the option of defeating the person who is supposedly unkillable because, at the end of the day - the Courier is much more badass than anything Caesar's legion is able to do.

No one ever claimed that Lanius was invincible. People were afraid of him sure, but he didn't have the same stories surrounding him that Graham did, nor were we ever led to believe that he survived as many attempts on his life. He supposedly had his face torn up I guess, but that's hardly comparable to what Graham has been through.

good point and him surviving inhuman things could be a referance to FO3 because the common wealth had androids so what im saying is that joshua graham could be an android like captain harkness from FO3

Graham isn't a reference to anything in Fallout 3, he was created long before Bethesda got their hands on the franchise. He was going to be a companion (with largely the same back story) in Black Isle's Fallout 3, Van Buren.

No one knows, and I'd presume 800 MS points is the standard price.

Depends on how he is. However there is a 50/50 chance I will burn his ass by sticking a Incendiary grenade in his back pocket unless he has the same view of the Legion as me then he can live free.

Sorry for this wasteland wander the only good legion is dead legion regardless of whether that legion is prefaced with an "EX" before it. All Legion scum must die prefferably at my hands, but as a dead legion is the only good legion i really do not care who or how it happens. A legionaire killed with a Feind bullet is just as good for this traveler as a legionaire killed with a NCR bullet, dead is dead and that is the only way to deal with the evil that is the legion.

Do the species a favor and shoot the legion with out mercy, if they drop thier colors and are willing to assimilate into normal society then they do not have to be shot, but they should be marked ala Inglorious Bastards with some sort of marking that is permanent, like a bull [censored] branded on thier foreheads (major [censored]). They should also be turned over into the custody of the women from thier local tribes for some justice at the hands of the people they abused the most. No torture should be off limits, i am thinking a few might be burned at the stake, some castrations might be in order (this serves two purposes, 1) justice no means no jerk and 2) prevention of thier stupidity being reproduced back into the gene pool), and since they like dresses so much maybe some pick tutus to go with the [censored] brand for those that the women did not kill outright. As penance for thier crimes they should also be slaves to the very women they enslaved, so if she wants to watch some Lifetime female empowerment flick with out any lisbian six, insisting you rub her feet and hang on her everyword get to massaging dress boy and you had better feign enjoyment or the standard issue NCR ranger will put a bullet in you, nuts first then while you are suffering the most agonizing pain imaginable if you were not too evil while you had total dominion you may earn a quick death and perhaps a bullet in the noggin. Personally after the first shot i hope who ever has the gun also has poor aim to prolong the agony until they die of infection, shock or the blood loss. Any or all really worksfor me.

Nope all legion scum will die where ever i find them, no matter thier supposed change of heart, like a giant rat (sorry to be offensive to rats, scum and vermin) legion scum are to be put down no matter how many rocks they choose to hide under. (my new character is named Tabitha) Tabitha curing the legion plague one bullet at a time.

Its not irrelevant at all. If Caesar had done a more thorough job, Graham would be already dead. He's a hardy fella, for sure. He's not invincible though, I intend to prove it when I get the chance. :goodjob:

More thorough really? they burned him alive and threw him into the grand canyon which is 100 times more dangerous in the post apocalyptic world so unless he is still recovering from all that, he will be 3 times as hard as legate lanious.

I voted undecided, but I will kill him if that's the only way of getting his sweet vest and gun (most preferably, the gun)

Na, more than likely treat him like Paul. Oh Paul, we killed the aliens, I ate a few of them, then killed him as he left the spaceship. Mr. Burn will probably be the same. Unless he has Paul's hat, then I'll just kill him and leave the DLC.

It depends....if he has a unique M1911A1 pistol on him then he's gonna get put down. If not, then it depends on what is going on in the DLC.

In my opinion his ability to be recruited as a companion is really only for legion fan bois, and that is a club i will never be a member of. I shall enjoy shooting him as much as i did shooting any other legion scum. As i said in my post all he will offer is an additional place i willl need to park some of the special ordinance i make to cure the legion disease. So the DLC offers me a special hunting trip. Having shot the legion in the Mohave i will it seems get to travel to another exotic location and shoot Arizona legion, i hope they squeal like little [censored]es just like the Mohave legion do when i ride them down just with a different local dialect as they beg for the mercy they do not deserve just before my "special ordinance" sends them straight to hell. ALL LEGION SCUM MUST SWING AND THIER SUPPORTERS AS WELL!

That's a very dangerous way of thinking. Anyway, wouldn't you at least like to know him as a character? He could end up being one of the most interesting characters in the game, and you'd kill him without even really talking to him. This is a game, you're not doing much justice by killing him in-game quickly. Just lowering your own experience.

Alot of that is based upon what a player finds enjoyable. I enjoy shooting the legion scum where ever i find them. Such is my contempt for legion scum, former legion scum and the supporters of such scum that i do not even lootem i just shootem, on sight. I have a route in the desert that i run every 3 days or so of all the legion camps for me to run for XP. My current character Tabitha is now level 17 and i would guestimate that over 60% of the XP earned to get to level 17 (current level) is from legion kills. Cottonwood cove is cleared and when Caesar invites me to his camp (bad move dude) i am comming across heavy and with a vengance, the minute i set foot in the fort the shooting will start, you want my guns sure thing pal bang bang good enough or do you want the other ones too? I will not content myself until Caesar is hanging from one of his own crosses.

As far as the burned man goes. Let me get this straight, you rolled with your homies, gangsta fo life dawg, you make one mistake next thing you know your a buster and they kick you to the curb. Now since you do not roll with them anymore i am supposed to believe that you have changed? BS if they would let you roll with them again you probably would, but since your alternatives are limited you would have me believe that you would work against them, please, i was born at night but not last night. Here is your bullet little man i made it special just for you, it is like the other 500 i carry each and every one is lovingly crafted to punch big holes in little punk [censored]es. I am fanatical in my hatred for the legion, and i firmly believe that like shooting a rabid dog is a public service so is putting down the rabid legion dogs where ever i see them.

** I am really disappointed that the game does not allow for the option to hang legion scum on thier own crosses, that would be just too awesome.**

No quarter has been asked and none shall be granted, we are beyond polite conversation at this point. Caesar, the burned man and i have NOTHING to discuss except shall thier deaths be quick or slow.. to late slow it is. Knees, nuts, navel maybe noggin in that order, squirm little man i hope hell hears your pleas you murderous bastards because you shall find no mercy here.

Asai

P.S. i do have one character that was a legion supporter and it was the worst play i have had of the 5 completed characters and number 6 now. I will probably have a character that will allow him to live at least once, but as i am a legion HATER and damn proud of it there is no talk that can or could change my mind, and that goers for the legion companion the game may try and make me feel sorry for.

Who says i am RPing, it is not just the guys in thier pretty red dresses that i have a problem with it is thier mindset and i will NOT let go. Some fights can not go out of style and must be raged even when you maybe the last to take a stand. One poster in these forums had the gall to and i quote "some people can not get past slavery dur herp" when it comes to the legion. Excuse me while i laugh like that is an easy thing to just shrug off, and your an [censored] for not being able or willing to shrug it off. I am sure slavery is all cool and stuff if your the one wearing the straw hat cracking the whip, get on the other side of that and tote that bale and then tell me good it is. The road to hell is paved with good intentions and Caesar is the architect, engineer and construction crew of that road.

I actuall tought this part was prety cool, using the vernacular of our time trying to relate to the younger members of the board.

Guilty by association is all i need to bring my brand of justice to the Mohave, it is all in good fun because i do not believe that anyone here actually believes slavery is cool, so every post made by me concerning the legion is in character and i hope the opposite posts are also in character, because seriously slavery svcks, i have been married (a slave) twice divorced (emancipated) twice, there is little difference lol. You still work for free, have no opinion that is not given (it is easier to agree than argue) and i had to be nice to her mama.
