I have never missed the wait to a game's release. I may miss the new-ness of that first experience, those first few hours, but never the months leading to those experiences, when everything is still new and unknown.

Life is short enough to waste away in anticipation...but never short enough for video games.

I expect this forum in particular will be abandoned to all the curmudgeons and trolls, ranting about how awful the game is, and what a terrible job Bethesda did.

The rest of us will be off, happily exploring the wasteland, shooting Death Claws wherever they pop up.

I won't miss this for a second. The forums are slowly getting worse. Might go dark this weekend, in fact.

Don't worry once Fallout 4 is out people will start the TES 6 hype train. Also I won't miss the hype. I'm ready for this game and honestly we talked about everything to death at this point.

I'll be signing off from Nov. 9th. until completion (unless there is a game breaking bug which I hope never occurs)! :D

No I will not miss the wait. But I will miss many of the posters on these forums, If the game is as good as I hope I may never hear from them again.

Definitely no, I want it to be over already! It wasted gaming for half a year for me, can't taste anything I play since E3! I don't want to play anything even. This is the worst I got affected like this by an incoming game. I couldn't even finish stuff I bought due to this!

If I start missing the wait for Fallout 4, then I have a baseball bat to knock some sense into me.

Nope, I won't miss the wait. Even though in the back of my mind I knew that it had to be coming, I didn't really think about it until it was officially revealed at E3. And then after that, I didn't think about it very much due to being very busy with work, etc. I'm glad that we had quite a short wait between the reveal and the release.

Some games have a ridiculous amount of time between reveal and release, so much so that gameplay, graphics and even entire parts of the game can change drastically from what we first see to what we finally play. After announcing the release date, some games change their date because they're not done. Or parts of the game are rushed or removed. That can lead to a lot of agony for gamers. Bethesda, on the other hand, might take really long between games, but announcing them when they're ready and then having a short wait for release - I like it better that way. And having the fanbase that they've earned means that they don't have to hype the game for over a year in order to get interest in it. It just seems like a great situation both for them as a company and for us gamers as fans. I don't know that there's any other company in the type of position that Bethesda Game Studios is in.

NO. When I recall Oblivion, F3 and Skyrim - still no. Dark times indeed.

Some of us will be happily exploring the wasteland and attempting (with a great variety of success or lack thereof) to hug Death Claws. :hugs:

But as to missing the wait? Not I, but to each their own.

Gravity on Earth must be increasing because I'm sure time is slowing down the closer we get to release. Still three weeks to go, it seems like a month has passed since I was saying that there was only 4 weeks to go. :bonk:

Yeah.....I think I'll be able to live without the wait. I for one have been waiting a good number of years for this to come as it is so I think I've had my fair share of hype and anticipation.
I'm ready for it now.

I don't mind the long wait.. it's the short wait that I hate. 6 months away, I'm fine. 1 week away, time seems to stop. It's like when you are a little kid in school and it's 2 minutes until school is out. That two minutes takes forever.

No. This month seems to be lasting forever... At this point I no longer care about Halloween. I want to be a maniacal Sole Survivor.

No, not at all. I am counting days until morning of 9 of November, then it will be several hours until Fallout 4 release.

And i think that info drought is almost over, they said they still have a lot of things planned until release date.

I'll be happy to have a forum buzzing with new people, interesting questions and discovering things about the game.

It's been too long and there's only so much you can discuss about Skyrim and Fallout NV after all this time.
