The wait is agonizing but kinda fun, like OP said hunting for new videos and information is great for getting the hype up but the forums like become more fun once people start asking questions and coming up crazy things fun things to do in the wastelands
What's funny is looking back on the pre release hype once people start moving on to new games. Seeing those same 'I'm going to be suddenly ill November 10th' people talk voicing their grievances and disappointments. Like when you go back to Skyrim release trailers, and read the 'who plays Skyrim vanilla in 2015?' comments.
All in all, it's always best to have a grounded approach to anticipated releases. Phantom Pain reminded me to wish for more, but expect less. That way, you have a better chance of being overwhelmed instead of being disappointed.
Kind of a silly question, don't you think? There's something to be said about the anticipation of what news will come next, or what little bits of info I can find that's tucked away somewhere in a video or elsewhere on the internet and the excitement when I find new things... but once the game is out, I'm not going to miss the wait one bit, never would and I don't see why anyone would when you can just experience the game.
Stephen King made me wait 30 years for the Dark Tower. This one is easy and I will not even care once the game lands.
Although I will admit to staring at my work calendar far more than usual these days.
Wouldn't it svck if the conflict in Syria escalated into a nuclear war, destroying a vast majority of the human population, and causing us all to miss out on Fallout 4?
I suppose so. I also miss my wife burning cupcakes.
