I will definitely at least try it. Not sure if I want to do hardcoe every time, only when I need a challenge (or get bored with normal gameplay). It is good to change things up sometimes. ^_^

First playthrough, if I don't like it within the first hour or so, I'll just delete that game and go play with normal mode.

1st playthrough. I have a question though, is hardcoe mode a difficulty itself, like Easy, Hard etc...or a toggable (?!?) option ?

I think you can change the setting on hardcoe or not one time while in the game. So you dont have to start a new save but you can only do it once.

hardcoe is seperate I think its an option and difficulty is another toggible option.

First time. Even on my first playthrough, Fallout 3 got boring after around level 16 because of all the godlike powers you get. Glad they're lowering the amount of perks we get.

First time. The first time you play a game, everything is new and interesting and you don't know what's around the next corner. After you've played it once, you'll know everything ahead of time. That takes away from the overall experience.

hardcoe my first time trough.. I like to play games on harder settings my first time through because by the second playthrough I'll want to take things easy and just find the things I missed. By the third playthrough I'll want to be a god and get as many options available to me as possible so I'll probably play through on the easiest level and maybe cheat a bit.

hardcoe for the first time and the rest of my playthroughs.

I want to be careful, to plan my days and make sure I'm ready before heading to a dangerous location. Not like in Fallout 3 where, most of the time, I rushed in at very low health then stimpacked myself whenever I got an injury, all of this with dozens of missiles and hundreds of bullets for my numerous guns. :P

definitely the first and every playthrough after.

im really looking forward to this being on consoles as well cause they have never experience difficult gameplay like this before. finally, they get to see why mods are so important to many pc gamers. if enough consolers like this playstyle it might send a message to the developers that they dont have to keep making dumbed-down, easy games in order to attract gamers. im a bit anxious about the overall reaction that will come from the console segment but i think that a fairly larger number of them will actually like it.

I think it's strange that many people will be playing hardcoe on their second run through when they "know where all the food and water is". Wouldn't this kind of defeat the purpose of HC mode? I for one will be playing it first time (and every other time) through because when i'm wandering through the desert on my way to finish a quest and i start running out of food and water i don't want to know where exactly to find more. I want to get that desperate feeling of being like "[censored] only have 1 days worth of supplies left need to put the mission on hold and find more before it's too late, maybe i'll try that abandoned house off in the distance". If i know where said food and water is it would just be like "huh...running out of water, oh well i'll just make a quick detour over that hill there cos if i remember right there was a spring/well/oasis over that way. lucky i played through first to find out where everything is". If you want it to be like that you may as well just play on normal mode.

I'm still debating whether or not I want to try hardcoe on my first playthrough. Right now I figure I'll just play on normal or hard my first playthrough (and turn it up if it gets too easy), and then my 2nd playthrough I will definitely play on hardcoe.

Games of this sort, I generally only play through the one time, anyway. For myself, there's only ever so much that's going to be any different on a second run; and taking into account just how long a game like this lasts, I don't usually even start another run, and if I do I find that I generally don't finish it. Also, some of my all-time favorite RPGs I've ever played through the one time, because I felt like the specific choices I made, and the way things played out were so... "special," to my mind, that going through and choosing things another way would only dilute that sense.

So I'll be starting my first playthrough of New Vegas with hardcoe mode turned on. There's a lot of added features there that I'm curious to see how it all pans out. I can't guarantee that I'm going to like it, but if I don't do it on my first run through the game, it's likely that I won't ever end up checking it out otherwise.

I'll probably go for hardcoe mode on my second playthrough. I'll want to get a lay of the land and see how the game plays second time in before I attempt this.

Planning on playing it right off the bat.

More challenge, is more challenging.
