I'm a male, but in any game if there's ever a option to be female, I never pass the opportunity.
There's just not many games you play as females ya know.

If this was a third person only game, it would. A few months back there was another thread that asked both this question and whether people preferred first or third person play in the same poll. The number of people who preferred playing females correlated almost perfectly with the number of players who play in third person. It seems that those who play in first person are more likely to play their own gender, while those who play the game staring at the backsides of their own character prefer playing 'eye candy'.

I play almost exclusively male in all games. The only female I can recall is my second Mass Effect 2 character but I haven't played that longer than a couple of hours becomes the game becomes so extremely repetitive.

So probably male for all my playthroughs, which will probably be a lot seeing as all the races look pretty awesome and the perk system should allow for multiple characters that don't all turn out similar.

I'll play as a female. I've never played as a male, and I don't intend to start doing so with Skyrim.
It just makes more sense to me to play a character that's the gender the player is.
