I'm a male. I play male character. I know many don't see it this way, but to me it just seems weird to have it any other way.

I always played female characters, and this game will not be different.

I generally play female characters. Since I've never pictured the characters I play in games as representing "me" (they're more like a game piece I'm pushing around on the chessboard), and I like the idea of female heroes. :)

 Same for me.

Female
Although the character isn't me I find it easier to RP a character I can understand. That makes a male harder for me to RP than an Argonian (and they are pretty inscrutable)

Both... yes, "both" would be a good addition to the options in the poll.

My first run is always male, usually more melee focused. Then I usually run a female character. Been this way for Morrowind and Oblivion... FO3, NV, Fable 3 and even Divinity II.

After M/F, then I run a Khajiit.

Female, if I'm going to stare at someones ass for 500+ hours it may as well be one I'd want to stare at.

This is mentioned everytime this subject comes up, what is it with people and ass-staring instead of actually playing the game?

My Character will be a gay male! I might make an attractive female too, because I love roleplaying females.

Male. I'm a female in real life, but I don't like playing female characters.

I'll likely play female, there's enough opportunities to be forced to p,lay males to me.

Female, because I'm female.

When it comes to the Bethesda games, I always try to make a character that is like my alter ego for that world, even though I add small differences so that I don't feel like I'm always playing the same character in all Bethesda games.

Voted I don't know, Because most people seem to forget that a lot of people play more than 1 character.

I'll make a female first, like I've always done for every game, but I'll have males too. Not like I'm only going to play this game once

It depends on what type of play-style i want to focus on at first if i do a warrior then i'll go male, female if i go with a stealth based. I don't think i'm going to do a pure mage at first.

This. Except the alter-ego thing, which is only for my first character.
