will you play male or female?

I play mostly male characters.
I don't play women just to play women, and I find it easier to
come up with a backstory/personality for a man.

I always use females first. But i have planed for 15 characters 8 males 7 females so i would have gone with both. In Oblivion i used all races both male and female for each race and now i know what im dealing with

How many of you are playing female just to strip them down to their undies?

Lol, i'm guilty but it's for purely educational purposes. :teehee: "To see how much detail really went into them"

Not "just", but it is a bonus :hehe:

And how many of you are intentionally not playing as a female because you're afraid others will judge you and think you're only playing as one to strip them down to their undies?

I'll probably make a male the first time and a female for most characters afterwards despite being a guy myself.

I have a hard time relating to female characters, so I tend to role with a male 99.99% of the time.

Don't let me stop you guys from having fun though, I like the Elder Scrolls because you can play who you want to be. I'm not going to judge someone if they want to be another gender.

I generally make a few characters. Fighting oriented characters are guys, and then I make a female for stealth or pure-mage

Since the characters look far less [censored]ey and the races are more diverse, I imagine I'll be making a lot more characters than in previous games.

I always choose female for my first character. After completing the game, then I will consider making a male character, if I have any cool ideas for one.

I'm playing a male Nord on my first playthrough, and other males on subsequent plays.

But, I do plan on making at least two humans, one heroine, and a Black Widow.

Since I am female, most of my characters will be female, but one or two will be male.

Both. But female woodelf/nord huntress first. Probably a male spellcaster after that if the system don't put me off again.

My characters will represent both genders.

First will be a Breton Female, shaman-in-training.

First male will be Bro. Francois the Friar (like Friar Tuck) He likes kitchens, mead and serving maids.

My first character will probably be male. Beyond that, presuming the game is worth (re)playing, I have no idea. In past games, last time I counted it up for a thread like this one, my characters were split about 60/40 male to female. I just make whatever character seems interesting at the time, and male or female just depends on how I envision the character.

Note - because this is signficant and seems to always be the point at which this topic breaks - my characters are not me. They are entirely separate beings with their own personalities. Therefore my gender has absolutely no bearing on theirs.

I will play male as I am a male too. I don't really like to play as the opposite gender. But maybe I will try to play as a female after all. :) Not sure, though.

Both, female bosmer for stealthy character, male nord for warrior character, and undecided gender on the argonian mage.

I'm male so I play as a male character.

I look at my characters as alter ego, so I wont ever play as a female. (at least no complete playthrough)

In previous games most of my characters have been males, with maybe one or two females. But this time around I believe I'll end up creating far more characters than usual. I'm guessing I'll end up with a 60 to 40 ratio of male to female characters.
