I'm just glad that they don't dubb anything in finnish here.
I once though somehow got a russian version of a Bioware dlc, and let me say it was a horrible, horrible expirience.
It was so bad it made me ears bleed.. :user: :swear:

And i don't even speak russian, nor live in russia...

My first language is English but about a year ago I got a Deutsch copy of oblivion to help keep up my german practice... and its a really good tool for learning languages! Eg: if you see an object, point at it, and the correct words will come up. It also turns figuring out grammar and vocab expansion into a puzzle context.

So although there were some problems with the german Oblivion (a couple of 3rd party patches fixed the errors) I found the voice acting generally superior to the original.

hell no!! in english all the way!! I mean even if im from Norway and the setting in Skyrim is greatly inspired by my ancestors belifes and way of living.

French is my native language but I will probably play it in english. French transalation isn't always good in games and never as good as the original version

People can do what they wait, idc.

But for me i'll be playing Skyrim in english (i'm dutch irl). It would completely [censored] the game if you tried anything but english if you ask me.

Norwegian here. I wouldn't touch a norwegian version even if it existed. I'm lost when trying to help friends with a norwegian version of the OS and I've never come across one during my professional life either. Why the HELL can't I just select language from a dropdown? I mean, even the Amiga had that and that's pretty ancient by now. Only game I ever gamed in norwegian was "The Longest Journey", probably because norwegian was its native language Only movie dubbed to norwegian I ever saw, oddly enough considering the original was danish, was "Terkel in Trouble" Brilliantly dubbed too. Can't watch cartoons anymore, as they are completely messed up by dubbing. Sad. Just, so, so, sad...

PLEASE,include coding for many languages at the Creation Kit so we can use standard Windows fonts of our language to translate the game by adding subtitles.
This would be VERY important to international modders,and we could make the game more accesible to more people!!

does anyone remember if we have to buy the english version from the US or if translated games have a language switch (i.e. when I install the game)

From the teaser trailer and the interview to Mark Lampert I'm sure the voice acting will be exceptional :wub:.

No switch as the dialogue takes up almost half of the dvd.
Guess some stores sell both versions.
You can buy any language version on steam.

Well said! The Germans and French seem to worship dubbing. I was shocked to find out that even Akira Kurosawa's films are dubbed there. Can you imagine that? Japanese princes and samurai lords all speaking German/French/English? Bizarre and disgusting.

English for sure. Voice acting is usually much better in the original language and there will be many more english mods, so easier as well that way.

There probably won't be my language, but even if there was, I like english more than any other language. (and my language annoys me and its not cool)

Even is they dubbed everything to Swedish it would still sound unnatural because everyone in Sweden has a different accent. I live in the south, in Sk?ne and I would cringe if someone spoke with a Dala-accent or a Stockholm-accent. :cryvaultboy:

I'm from Italy but I always set English as language in every game.The only exception i made was for Mafia, which obviously spoken in original sicilian dialect is just a pearl

That depends.PS 3 blu-ray disc main contain several dubbed languages. :tongue:
For example, Uncharted 2 had 5 dubbed and 9 subtitled languages.
