at the moment highly unlikely. reason being hackers have destroyed the multi-player as well as some severe balancing issues with weapons and armour . may go back to the single-player if they ever decide to make it a PC game with dx11. but BF3 will be here soon enough and if they haven't pulled there fingers out there arses by then it will have to be a definite NO.

Thats funny you ask, right now there are 1049 empty servers. That's less then 20%. I won't be playing it in 2 months.

This is a useless thread. Games usually only improve with time if the developers give them the attention they need, especially in the case of a big game like this. Although I have plenty complaint posts here for this game, I am also a longtime game fan who knows that most of the requests will be fulfilled by the developer within the first month or so.

Besides the EXTREME "Console-Porting" of this game, its still a very good game and once the bugs are fixed, it will get better. If they do upgrade it to DX11 that will make this the ultimate Crysis experience. Here's hoping.

It just came out last week. Give them some time to fix it.

I think BF3 will be amazing. I won't say this game is the best I've ever played, but I do enjoy it. I don't like the fact that Crytek has held out on DX11/DX10, but I don't have a DX11-capable card (yet). For the gamers who've spent tons on their rig to be underwhelmed--I do understand your pain. This game was definitely "consolized" I played the original, and I noticed a performance difference between the two games on PC, but that's definitely at the expense of DX10/11. I still think the graphics are great with DX9, but I'm sure it could have been better optimized for DX11/DX10. I will probably be playing this game in the future because I'm not upset like many of the other PC gamers, but if I had a DX11 card and saw that Crytek used only DX9 on the sequel, I'd probably be upset as well. Each side has its valid points. But I don't think Crytek should be able to get away with stuff like this, whatsoever. Crysis 2 should have been PC-exclusive. Then we would have seen the true potential of CryEngine 3.

In two months time you will have had Portal 2, and Brink come out. On top of that BF3 beta will be near and the new Duke Nukem will be about ready to drop.

Crysis 2 will be a forgotten game by then

Don't forget Skyrim!

I don't think the first Crysis would have done so well if it didn't also function as a benchmark program, and something to shoot for when optimizing your rig. Too bad Crysis 2 doesn't share this quality, I doubt well all be telling our grandkids about living in the time of Crysis 2.

Sure, why not? If they can get the MP-issue fixed quickly, there is nothing stopping me from playing it. Well, except for L4D1 but that's out of Cryteks control, anyway.
And I don't care about DX11-support as what I want to do with the game I already can do: PLAYING IT! If I want just to watch things, I throw in a god-damn DVD and watch that. Those are a lot cheaper than Crysis 2.

Probably not. It will largely depend on how good their patches are and if they update the textures. The game looks like garbage compared to Crysis 1. The multiplayer is fail. I'll most likely go back to Bad Company 2 until BF3 comes out.

If i had to repeat single player version i would play for sure. It is a great game. Online ? NEVER EVER. The cheaters and hackers ruin this beautiful game. And from now on...i am gonna play pirated version of this game only...Lose the money again?!...NEVER !!!

yes. The campaign has a lot of replay value and i played through Crysis 1 and Warhead multiple times. I love Crysis 2's story much more and will probably play it a few more times. In terms of multiplayer, yeah. I've managed to put up with **** in MW2 and Black Ops, so TBH, any problems in Crysis 2's multiplayer is just whatevs to me (do note, i've barely seen any problems in it).

I will probally keep playing it from time to time, if they actually fix these game breaking bugs.
The Nano Catalsyt bug is a real show stopper from me thats kept me from playing much the past few days, and the glitchyness with Multiplayer Unlocks and Dog tags has kept me away from MP.

C2 is not a pc gamers benchmark. Heck C1 still is.

probably play when they get rid of the hackers and cracked games where people can log in.

Then reach rank 50

Put it aside

BF3/COD BO

That's it.

Sure thing, I'm loving the multi-player. Haven't spent much time in SP yet. And the game itself looks and plays pretty damn good, thou higher res textures in some areas wouldn't have gone amiss.

I don't think so. Once I'll unlock all things in MP (not many left, though) I'll play couple more hours and forget it. I sure this game will not hold people for a long time. It's not bad but it's nothing special, it hasn't got that something (it's rather like MW2 just in a different package, at least that's my view).

Waiting for B3!!!
