So will you be playing the opposite six?

Well that sentence didn't go where I expected it. :D

Definitely yes, I prefer to pick female whenever possible. Had enough non-customizable male leads out there.

My first character is always based on me, and since I lack boobs...Eh, probably not.

...And that first character usually lasts me a...long...long time...

I roleplay, so yes, I'll be playing as both sixes, if I buy the game that is.

First character will be female, second male, after that it depends on what role I have in mind.

In Oblivion or Skyrim, it depended on what I was playing.....Mages tended to be Breton women, Rouges female Bosmers, and fighters Nord men. FO3 and NV, I did my first run with a male PC then the second as a female. This time I might run a woman first as the scenario we are presented with looks interesting to play from a female perspective.

Even though I'm male, I will be playing a female character because for some reason I've always enjoyed female characters in literature. Perhaps it's because they've always depended on intelligence and skill over brawn. For example, I love the Honor Harrington series.

Yes. Nearly all of my characters are the other (not the "opposite") six.

since i can not stand the voice of our male protagonist

he sounds so archtypical white american homeboy hero that makes me sick , thank you bethesda for forcing us to hate any male protagonist we want to play before the game is even released

I'm male but I almost exclusively play female when possible in games.

The reason is that I am tall and slender IRL. However almost every male character in games are way too bulky. I like to project my personality IRL unto my character, but also my build. Since female characters in games are usually a more accurate portrayal of my build irl, I tend to go for them instead.

In other words, I prefer to roleplay and project myself as a female - despite being a straight male IRL. Due to wanting a more accurate representation of my own physique. Genitalia and briasts is of course the exception here though.

As a straight male I admit I can't resist creating female characters and trying to make them as attractive as possible. This is what makes Bioware games frustrating to me, lol, as it's almost impossible with their character creation tools. I hope I have an easier time of it in Fallout 4.

But I'll probably also create a male character as well.

For some reason it always depends on the type of game for me. But in Elder Scrolls and Fallout I've noticed that I always prefer female characters. Never was any good at making an attractive female character though, so I always relied on savefiles from those that could. :)

My main character for SWTOR was male though and the (sometime this decade) Star Citizen will feature me as myself.

Most of the time I play female, but I'll play as a male if there is a hot babe to romance. Now playing as a female who is romancing a male, feels odd to me. Last time I did a male romance was BG2 with Anomen. Otherwise my girl will be a lez or not interested.

Male PC with neutral/greater good tendencies and an aptitude for survival (think Vietnam commando).

In games where you get to make your own Character I usually play a female. In games where characters are prebuilt, such as dues ex, half life or tomb raider or Mirror's edge, I tend to prefer games that have male characters.

Fallout 4 seems to be sitting right in the middle of those two categories, but right now I feel like I want to play a male character as my main this time round.

I agree with you here. It is often heavily decided from a character creation tool perspective and they are different from game to game. Some games can have horrid options for either gender etc.

Another factor is hud / screen / zoom-size. Often playing a female or a smaller character is beneficial (especially in MMOs), as it can be more practical due to a smaller or more slender option giving you a better field of view.

Same, except reversed. I almost exclusively play male, as long as I can make them hot. If there's gay romance, I'll do that. If there's only hetero romance and I like the male option, I'll play a female. I'm shallow. ˉ\_(ツ)_/ˉ

Generally play as women, see no reason to change that here, personally.

Probably not, I usually play a guy because I'm a guy.

BUT I do appreciate the choice.

Well, i am not even sure i will play the game.

I played a female on Fo3-FoNV (both sixes in Fo2-FoT, male in Fo1 because the canon one is male), so i figured i would play a male there, but considering the forcing voice and the family stuff, i think i would pick a more exotic stuff, (for a white male) probably a colored woman with the most uncommon look possible.
