I always choose a male.
But depending on how deep the story is, and how much agency the character has on the plot, I may or may not replay as a female.
Typically I play as a Male character but sometimes play Female as well. Like for Mass Effect I ran through the series as MaleShep (I know alot of people dislike the VO for him but I dunno I thought it was quite good in 2&3) and then again as FemShep. I'll probably end up doing the same for Fallout4.
Never been interested in playing female characters, so i'll play a dude.
lol
How is that question relevant to this thread specifically?
I give everyone attention.
EDIT:
Also, weird/non-standard PoVs aren't automatically indicative of trolling. I get called a troll ALL the time.
my first character will be a dude based on me
later on after i complete the game i'll maybe play as a chick. playing as a chick feels weird for me
I've always seen that line as a quickie shorthand/meme for "I'm a straight guy, I like girls, if I'm going to play with a doll it'll be one I find attractive" Not that they literally are looking at the character's butt (as opposed to, say, those guys who are shooting at you! ) when they play.
I confess, I've done that a few time that myself. Okay, maybe a lot of times.
I haven't decided if I will get the game but I usually play as a woman, given the option.
I always play females. If there are significant interactions that are different as a male, I might be willing to play as a male once or twice, but most if not all of my 30+ characters will be female. Certainly all of my uncountable number of characters for Fallout 3 and New Vegas were female.
Not really. My first character will be 'myself'. However, as I mentioned in another thread, if the child is gender-locked as male and grows up to become the antagonist, the dynamic between a baby boy grown up into an independent man, and a mother who once conceived that boy and nurtured him, who has since adapted to the wasteland life and seen (killed) some [censored] could be very intriguing to me in terms of a dramatic plot. Something about it is just appealing.
I usually play as a male the first run. The next time I pick it up there's a bunch of mods available, and I go almost exclusively female, with maybe one more go as a male.
The voiced protag might change everything though, I always gave everyone their own "voice"
Not as my first character--and I like to approach Bethesda games in a leisurely way--so probably not anytime soon.
I like to play as female and this game will be no different. So many games have male protagonists I like to play as a female when I can if only for the variety.
Also, dat ass.
Yes.
When possible I always play as a female character.
