So.. Will you pre-order the next TES after your experiences

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 7:03 am

Definitely. TES, for me, has never really been about the skills or numbers - it's about the world. Even back in Morrowind I felt that way. I mean, I prefer Morrowind for its complexity, and lament that it will probably never return to that level, but put it this way - those failing just make Skyrim my second favourite game of all time. They're still bloody brilliant.

I havn't pre-ordered any of the games, and I don't ever plan to. As for whether or not I will buy the next TES, well, truth is that despite my disappointments with Oblivion and Skyrim, I will probably end up buying it just to try it out for myself. However, that largely depends on what I read about during the build up to the release date. If Bethesda continues their trend of 'streamlining' the game, and if certain aspects of the game don't make a come-back (or other things that I really dislike remain), then TES VI is probably the last game in the series I will buy.

It all depends on the pre-release info.

I pretty much knew exactly what to expect from Skyrim before it came out, including almost most of the game's disappointments. The same will be true of the next game. I'll assess whether I want to pre-order it based on the info that gets revealed during the months leading upto it's release.

Yes, I'll always buy every new TES. Not by preorder, but day one, retail from the store.

Given that it's going to be a rushed MMO I'm not so sure.
If the MMO is TES, it'll be hardly rushed. Zenimax has been working on it for over 4 years now.

Yes, I will be preordering the next TES, be it a singleplayer Bethesda RPG, an MMO from Zenimax Online, or just about anything else. I've had a great time with Skyrim, and Oblivion and Morrowind, so I see no reason not to.

I think I'm addicted, not much Bethesda can do to make me not buying their stuff. Maybe if they make the next game turn based and isometric  but I bet I'd still buy the damn box just for the collectibles

(Not gonna happen, though.)

Haven′t thought of that. Maybe I′ll buy the other titles just to gawk when I see them on the shelf! :D

Hell yes I'd pre-order the next ES! I've experienced very few bugs and certainly NOTHING that broke the game.

I probably will. Despite my disappointment with Skyrim and the series' direction at large it did launch very smoothly and I can't say I regretted my purchase. Here's to Bethesda taking the concerns of the 'Old Guard' and 'Morrowind Fans (if I add boy to that it gets censored...)' into mind while designing the next one.

Their will not be a TES MMO, trust me.

Na, i don't bother pre-ordering anything. I'll be at the Midnight launch though.

I love Skyrim.

Of course I'll pre-order the next game. I don't see myself getting bored with the series, nor do I see myself not enjoying telling all the stories of my characters' journeys/crime sprees. This is a series of games that have allowed me to do things many open world games wouldn't let me do or would, but were limited in how far I could go. Thieving? Steal anywhere with worries that you will get caught. Murder? Sure, have fun with that. Law abiding? Not my style of play, but it's there. Drug addict? I don't think I want to look into the mind of a drug addict, but some might.

So much to do as well. I spend untold, unholy amounts of time on these games. May as well feed the habit.

I will pre-order, and if there's another "mignight release" in my town for ES: VI, I will do my best to show up to it.

This thread needs a poll.

I bought Oblivion the day it came out...yet after my experience with Oblivion, I did not pre-order Skyrim. What does that make you think about my chances of pre-ordering the next game?

I guess that would depend on your impressions of Skyrim.
