So.. Will you pre-order the next TES after your experiences

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 9:29 am

Easy question, will you, after your experiences, good or bad, PRE-ORDER the next TES? Or will you wait and see what the dedicated fans say about it?
Personally, now that i have played skyrim i realize that i should have waited to buy a cheaper used version instead of buying the game for the full price.

I, will probably not pre-order the next TES, Skyrim was just too unpolished, no wait, it wasn't even done in my opinion. I don't have time to go through why i think it is kind of bad, you can just search through my threads if you're interested.

Anyways, answer the question with a preferably long comment and WHY or WHY NOT you will pre-order.
Thanks and i apologize for any spelling errors :)

Absolutely, yes. There is no reason for me not to pre-order. I love Skyrim, just as I loved Morrowind and Oblivion. I pre-ordered Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim. I love Skyrim and I will almost certainly pre-order the next installment too.

Hell yes I will. This series has a special place in my heart. It's a AAA title now too.

oh hell yes well that is if i have the money to but yes deffenitly the elder scrolls is deff one of the best game series ever made next to fallout and assassin's creed and i guess i could put mass effect in that list to but as i was saying no matter how bad they might get i will always get the next TES and if the story just svcks so bad that you don't even want to play through it i would at least get it for the exploration

Well I'm not going to decide that now, I'll await more knowledge on the subject, but I think I'll get a good idea of whether or not I want to preorder by about a month before release date.

I'm not sure whether I'll pre-order (though I probably will), but I will buy it the day it comes out.

I thought so as well.
Or Hammerfell.
I'd like to see Elsweyr, but I doubt that lots of cat people are a favourite with the masses. Same with Black Marsh and lizard-infested swamps.
Come to think of it, it'll be hard for TES VI anyway. Nothing's as cool as Vikings and Dragons (combined!) running around in snowy mountains.

I have never pre-ordered a game so far ...

I'll still buy it in the first two weeks unless reviews / word of mouth are terrible

With the new requirements I will never buy (that includes pre-order) another game if they continue that path.

If you mean system requirements, then I'm afraid you'll never buy another Elder Scrolls game. With all of the advances in technology, Bethesda would be mad not to use them to enhance graphics and generally make a better game. Same with almost all games, from the Sims series to the Call of Duty series. Game companies would die out if they didn't improve on past titles.

On topic: yes, I'll most definitely be pre-ordering TES VI!

No. I will probably wait a year for the GOTY edition and get the mods that will be out to make the game something I actually want to play. As soon as I hear about the next TES game I won't even begin to look up info for it. I still have not beat Skyrim and have not really played it much for like 3 months despite TRYING to get back into the game. Idk not for me I guess. Too much handholding and things that imo feel rushed. Just not my cup of tea. Plenty of other games out there. So yeah, definitely not pre-ordering it.

I will unequivocally pre-order TES VI! Collector's Edition, regardless of the price. I'm far too fond of this series not to do it.

Skyrim is the best game in the series.

Its not just Bethesda that are having problems with bugs in their games. It seems to be a thing that is common amongst games being released at mo. The only games not having the problem seem to be games like COD as they just have a small main story and the rest is built around on-line.

Open world games is definitely the way forward but obviously take a lot more programming. I think the pressure to get game out on a deadline is whats causing the games to be released without 100% tested.

Fable 3 was another great team who had major problems upon release. Fallout New Vegas was another team to Bethesda and they had massive problems.

TES is still the best game on the market. Skyrim is the best yet and has taken it that step further, I can't think of any other game that has got me to spend so many hours playing it, or has got me searching on-line to find out more about the lore and world it set in.

I definitely will not preorder this series' games again.

Reason being...bugs...really bad bugs. No commercial game should have 14xx bugs. Nor should the game become properly playable only months after the game is released.
It's just bad practice.

Also, modders were promised to get the CK on release day. 2~3 months later it finally came out =/. Not a good feeling.

I'll probably get the next game for modding (since modding is like a game in itself), but I wont buy it on pre-release/release day ever again.

Skyrim was way to rushed though.
They just had to release on the 11th.. -_-'
1 example is magic, it's a joke if you compare it to oblivion, in so many ways.
And the ending[SPOILER] is so damn anticlimatic(spelling?), the last dragon(see, i can't even remember his name! That's a bad sign) went down just as easy as the others.
This game was unpolished if you ask me and loads of others.

After the hand holding, plain sailing, uninspiring, unchallenging, by the book kiddie fest that Skyrim was, no, I will not be pre-ordering TES6.

Still cant get over forced kill cams. What a way to destroy random encounters.

I agree with the first part.
But what do you mean with the killcams? How could they be improved in your opinion?

I also agree with your first statement. Kill-cams could've had a toggle, but there are for more bigger problems with Skyrim than just kill-cams.
