Yeahh I think I will definitely start on hardcoe mode. I'm quite bad at getting a second play through character that I actually like.
So I want to start off with it from the word go.

Plus it will really add to the challenge especially when everything is so new to me. Where as by my second play-through I usually know the best ways to make caps the things I should do, nice places to go and such.

First playthrough. (Didn't mean first as in first reply >_<) [edit]
If this game is gonna be more of a challenge than fallout 3 was then I'm going full out man.
I'm sure I'll die a lot and I'll like it. :goodjob:

Yeah! Take the pain! Take it like a man and/or woman, because I'm not sure which gender you are! Yeah, hardcoe!! Ahhhh!!! :gun: :flamethrower: :banghead: :nuke:

All kidding aside I will be playing hardcoe on my first playthrough. Whether or not I decide to play hardcoe on any subsequent playthroughs remains to be seen.

I will play hard core on my first play through. Mainly because I want a different experience from Fallout 3, and including the hardcoe mode would make New Vegas an even more different experience.
Not because I don't like F3, I just like variation.

I'll be playing my first time around, due to more challenge the game will go at a slower pace IMO and thus giving more time to look at my surroundings, or more time to be frustrated.

A bit of a topic change but being in hardcoe mode do you think by making a stealth cunning thieving character would benefit or someone who wears power armor and is basically a human tank? bearing in mind a lightweight agile thief over a heavy shining walking target? keeping in mid even ammo uses weight in hardcoe mode!

Don't get it, do you mean for a stealth character it's going to be a pain to kill a PA enemy because of ammo weight?

That shouldn't really be a problem. armo(u)r piercing rounds are in the game for a reason. Taking down someone in PA shouldn't really be that hard as long as you're using an armo(u)r piercing bullet.

No, im asking if in hardcoe mode do you think a lightweight hard to find character would be better than a PA character bearing in mind the hardcoe game mode.

Hmmm. Well PA isn't suppose to make dehydration quicker.
And with ammo weight, PA gives +strength so I don't think it will be too much of a problem.
So it depends on how you wanna play.
But keep in mind that enemies will have more health on very hard so instant kills with a stealth character isn't always a given.

Me?
Neither, I'll go with something... Different.
Best armor I'll wear is Metal Armor so I wouldn't call myself a tank.
And she's not going to be using sneak attack criticals so not a stealth character either.
She's gonna be, different.

re: hardcoe

I won't (also, Normal difficulty). And probably won't on any subsequent plays, either. Playing on the PC, I had access to similar mods (like FWE, etc) and had no desire to install one, so I doubt I'll use the built-in version either.

First play with be stock, as provided. Additional plays will depend on what mods are around. :)

Ehhhhhhhhhhh, it's debatable. I'm to lazy to travel to half the places in Fallout 3. So hardcoe Mode is more likely to be awhile or never used. Who knows.

You can, but since you HAVE to drink and eat, you're meter runs low if you fast travel from one end to the other. So if you FT from Rivet City to Raven Rock for example, it'll likely kill you when you are loaded there. hardcoe mode isnt about being a badass shooter, it's about survival in the wastes

POSSIBLY. But as far to my knowledge, if you're in the middle of the Mojave and you Fast Travel all the way to New Vegas. It will kill you if you started the fast travel with next to no water in your hydration meter.

Except for that Fallout 3's fast travel is way too fast. Fast travelling from the Republic of Dave to Rivet City takes under one game hour. I hope that in New Vegas fast travel takes more time, otherwise there aren't any real consequences to using it.
