Yes. Once Skyrim has been out long enough to be wiki'd, patched, GOTY'd, DLC'd, fully reviewed, sorted and dissected, I'll begin to consider it.

I second this.

Since I play console, as soon as I get a decent PC I will play Oblivion on that, and with all the modding and stuff I doubt i'll tear myself away from it long enough to even consider Skyrim :)

So i'd rather wait till Skyrim has everything Oblivion has to offer :)

Oh my! I certainly hope some brave souls come forward to charge headlong into Skyrim and forge a path for the rest of us! Somebody has to jump in there and get it all sorted out!

Let's hear it for the preorder/play on the first day crowd!

I will definitely do that, one day later as release date is Remembrance Day, but with the Radiant story and all that, can't see how a Wiki is going to be all that useful, you can say what happens, and which things are where, but as I understand it you won't be able to say what happens where ( I hope that makes sense ).

I'll pick up Skyrim upon its release, but as for Oblivion? I honestly can't say whether I'll still play it or not. Depends.

Of course I will still play Oblivion. I am in no rush to play Skyrim. I do not know if I ever will, to be honest.

I still play Morrowind from time to time and I'm taking a break from Daggerfall to type this. I'll definitely go back to Oblivion eventually, but once Skyrim comes out, all other games are going to have to wait.

I still play Daggerfall and Morrowind. I have an Arena game in progress, which I drop back into from time to time. I don't throw away games just because there are new ones.

I'm in the camp of waiting for Skyrim to be patched, re-patched, expanded, etc.

I will get Skyrim on 11.11.11 but I will still keep playing Oblivion. Ive been playing Oblivion non-stop since 2008 and Skyrim is not going to stop me from playing it.

I guess I'll be one the first over at Chorrol to be grabbing Skyrim, then.

I'll let you know how it goes!

Anyways, yes, I will still play Oblivion, and Morrowind, too.

Yup! Of course I will, hopefully I'll start to play Morrowind as well. Of course I won't play Oblivion as often, but I'm sure I'll get into the mood for some West Weald Wines.

I'm your man! I've already pre ordered it and since Nz is ahead of a lot of the world, I may be the first of the Oblivion forums to play it

I'll be preordering skyrim so I get it ASAP when it's released, personally nov11 can't come quick enough. Im sure it will deliver more in the vanilla game vs oblivion but it definitely won't be at the same level as modded oblivion for a long time.

I'll come back to oblivion for sure same as I still come back to Morrowind.

And another - not just Beth, or even just games, I never buy any software on release. I have no interest in paying to be a beta tester. Once it's patched sufficiently, and probably once it's GOTY'ed and packaged with some expansions, I'll buy it. And even then I'll still play Oblivion. And Morrowind. And Daggerfall.

You people not jumping up and down in excitement for Skyrim... confuse me. I know the lot of you to practically be fellow Oblivion or Elder Scrolls, in general, fanatics, yet you're not excited about Skyrim and really don't want to get it anytime soon after released? Skyrim? Oblivion's sequel? The sequel to Oblivion? The sequel to the game this forum, in which you all dwell, is for? A technically upgraded, new adventure taking place in the beautiful land of Skyrim? Did I mention it's being made by the same people as Oblivion and is meant to be similar in design to Oblivion? Even for the modders, surely you know of the construction set? For anyone on any platform, did you know it's being released for the same three as Oblivion - the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360? You know they have decent animations and people that actually look like people this time around? Does anyone here have a clue as to why the Daggerfall/Morrowind fanbase split and then the Morrowind/Oblivion fanbase split occured? Anyone see a continued trend? May I ask why you are not excited? In the most sincerest of ways from this kid who practically worships Oblivion,?

I doubt it, but I won't discard it completely. Heck, I'll surely even quit from Morrowind.

Some people are in the fortunate position of being happy with what they have got. I remember the first time I played Ocarina of Time, I honestly thought "That's it, games are good enough now, they don't need to get any better." That thought sort of stayed with me until I played Oblivion, which to me is more a virtual world than a game. I cannot wait for Skyrim, but can perfectly understand those whose role playing and story telling needs are already fulfilled.

It depends whether I finish KOTN and the main quest before November.

I would love to play Skyrim straight out of the box and take a week holiday to do it, but quite frankly, but I am scared by the bugs.
Game companies now just say- "who cares, just wait for the patch." That is not good enough for me. It smacks of laziness.

I voted for throwing the disk at a homeless man :P

It happened so that I obtained a copy of original game for ps3 for free, and I'm currently playing it only because I left all my games at gf's place, and Morrowind is not installed on this PC :P

After I buy Skyrim I definitely ain't gonna play this game again, unless Skyrim will fail badly, which I hope it won't. If it won't be as awesome, I'll probably play it for short time tho, since one of the reasons I rarely play Oblivion is that I can't mod it, so all the bugs and stuff that annoys me in the game poke me every time I play it, unlike Morrowind which I can run on my PC and therefore I could mod out all that bugs me.

Pretty much this for me. Except, with luck my pc will be able to run Skyrim, so I'll get it almost as soon as it comes out and give it a whirl.

However, I doubt it'll get as much playtime as Morrowind and Oblivion for the first 6 or 7 months, until, like Acadian said, it gets patched/modded/wiki'd etc.
Too much roleplaying to ever consider not playing any TES game, for me. They never lose their appeal.

I'll still be playing it though.

What do you need a wiki for if you're roleplaying? :P

Some of my characters have a "guardian" (which is me), giving them advice and such. Plus, I'd like the wiki in case I run into bugs, or anything. It's through this method that Helena Aurelie found the Serpent Stone (I'd like to say thank you Acadian and Buffy for the idea ;) ), which has saved her life many, many times.
