Maybe, maybe not. I'm approaching my personal level of completionism for Oblivion. I've even taken on an atronach high elf and raised it to level 44 working toward 50. I'm walking around with 101% reflect damage and at least 100% (not exactly sure if it's over 100 or not) spell absorption at the exact same time, not to mention I've maxed out mysticism so I can just snap my magicka back with telekinesis spells.
Seriously, [censored] attacks me and it just falls over. People cast at me and I eat it into my magicka. About the only things that hurt me are arrows, traps, falling, and somehow Dustfang/Dawnfang from time to time when it runs out of charge. I take damage every now and then but it's not even an 8th of my total health bar. So naturally, I can heal myself up with restoration and then snap back the magicka I lost for that with telekinesis.
As for the roleplaying element? I spent my first two years or so doing that with the game before I delved into the technicalities of it. I COULD go on a mad, collect-all-the-varla-stones personal challenge, but IMO that's a bit much considering everything I've already done.
Close ALL the Oblivion gates? I could, but I don't really need to. I've got 100% chameleon and 100% spell reflection in my inventory at all times just in case. I've done all the daedric shrines aside from the final one in which you get the infinium (sp?) and I'm intentionally waiting until I'm already at level 50 for it. I've done all the factions as well. The only things I have left to do are go to Paradise and finish the main quest, and continue and finish Shivering Isles from Felldew and on (I stopped for a while thinking I was going to use the felldew exploit but then realized that it was too late to do that).
So yeah, I've got a little bit left to do, but not too much. Afterward I think I'll go after all the unique enemies (spectral mudcrab and whatnot) and then maybe attempt the dive rock jump? After that, I think I'll consider myself absolutely done.
Though this is entirely done on an Xbox 360, an older model, which lags a bit when I play the game to begin with due to it being older. Whatever though, if I can't do the jump then oh well, it wouldn't be that big of a loss. I've accomplished everything else.
This isn't the only character I've played with either obviously. This was sort of my finale character I guess. It didn't start off or didn't intend to be that, but that's what it turned into. o_o
I think with time after the new Elder Scrolls game comes out after I play through it to this extent, I could come back to Oblivion and probably do it all over again.
There's nothing like the rush of running Kvatch.
