Will you touch past TES games?

Post » Tue Sep 01, 2009 5:13 pm

So I was wondering, and it may be a little too early to do this but, will you play other TES games after/if you get Skyrim?
I know that there really is not that much info on Skyrim to back up your choices but if we can keep the thread alive until more info is released then everyone can change their answers.

I tried to play Daggerfall and Arena, I actually got used to the gameplay. But couldn't play it all... I tried Morrowind several times too, but I can't get used to the dice rolling system. Now I am going to play Oblivion with some mods... having troubles installing Oscuro's Overhaul.

Yes, I will play past Elder Scrolls games after Skyrim. I played Morrowind after Oblivion came out. I don't see why anyone wouldn't.

I thought the topic was going to be about sixually molesting older TES games...

Anyways yes I will, for mods, nostalgia etc.

The poll allows you to select multiple choices, if you are to lazy to click all of the check boxes then your in the wrong thread

Sure thing, will do. I've been playing Daggerfall occasionally since its release. :P

When I purchased Oblivion and played for a few hours, I decided to start a new game in Morrowind before continuing my Oblivion game. ;)

I still play all of them except for Arena. So, I on't see why I wouldn't continue to play them. Just like I'll still be playing Skyrim when Elder Scrolls VI comes out.
Elder Scrolls games are just that good

Morrowind is a classic, and with the right mods it looks incredible.

Oblivion is great (though it lacks the charm of Morrowind), and again with the right mods becomes superb.

Skyrim will never change this.

I'll play skyrim, work on porting mods, take a break with modded oblivion for ideas and then go to modded skyrim

I will most defiantly still be playing Morrownd since Morrowind is awesome and I can't imagine never playing it again.

I didn't vote because everything I'd vote for is prefaced by "might", and "might" isn't a possibility.

i tried daggerfall but the graphics make my eyes literally bleed.

i will still play morrowind as that is my favorite

i probably wont bother playing oblivion especially since i had over 150 mods and that was after trimming the non-essential ones off. i needed fewer mod for morrowind and in general it was just a better game.

i will probably like skyrim the most since its going to be populated mostly by nords. :)

The reason I said "might" before each choice is because very little info on Skyrim has been released (at least that I know of), so there is a possibility that some people may change their minds once more info is announced or when they get the game.

I'll revisit Oblivion and Morrowind. Depending on how the actual game [TESV] itself plays, TESV might become my "home" game, however. (That is, the game which gets first priority on mods & new characters.)

I still feel nostalgic about Morrowind, but I haven't played it in years. Someday, I'll take the notion to sort through all of the mods out there and re-install it.

I still play the first four. Why would I stop, permanently, just because Skyrim is released? More Elder Scrolls games to rotate between is always better.

Good luck with that, I said the same thing yesterday. And here I am installing only Oblivion and it's mods.

Why are they all listed as "might"? I will surely keep playing Morrowind and Oblivion because they are great games.
