Unless if the companions are the potential NPCs you can romance in the game, probably not.

Not as much as a challenge in dungeon's or dragon fighting.

i won't go crazy with it but I think it will be fun... as long as they do not die easy. Maybe something along the lines of FO:NV?

In certain situations, probably. But not all the time, definitely not.

Depends if they aren't [censored]ing stupid this time.

If my companion sees an enemy she should whisper to me "I can see a bunch of mudcrabs ahead, what should we do? Want me to engage?".

I won't. In games, I always find them too annoying and not what it's worth. Fallout New Vegas wasn't that bad, but not that good.

I'd have to try 'em out first. I always had trouble with anyone following you in the past games because they'd always get in between me and the guy I was trying to stab. If they can avoid doing that, they might be worth hiring every now and then; though I'll probably mostly adventure alone.

Absolutely! Just like in Oblivion, my companion will be a skull that I keep in my inventory that I call Mr. Chappy and we'll talk and sing and play and go on grand adventures together!

If it's a dog, hell yeah. Maybe not a humanoid companion unless they're smarter than the ones in oblivion.

I will use my Irish Wolfhound dog companion.

"You should have acted.
They're already here.
The Elder Scrolls told of their return.
Their defeat was merely delay
Til the time after Oblivion opened,
When the sons of Skyrim would spill their own blood.
But no-one wanted to believe.
Believe they even existed.
And when the truth finally dawns:
It dawns in fire.
But,
There's one they fear.
In their tongue, he's Dovahkiin:
Dragon Born and his dog!"
:D

I won't

I certainly will, but probably only after I have already become very powerful and mastered a guild.
