[RELz]Willow - A Better Companion Experience

Post » Wed Aug 18, 2010 1:59 pm

I used to favor Cass as my companion of choice, but now Willow fills that role now (along with J.T.), while Cass drinks herself to death in the Mojave Outpost. It's too bad most other companion mods aren't this detailed and flavorful. Actually, in my opinion even the vanilla companions don't offer such quality (except maybe Raul, who has a touching backstory). The full voice over really helped with immersion too.

On the Survival and Silver Tongue bonuses think it is more of a play style issue than any thing else.

I'm using Arwen's NV Realism Tweaks Hard-Core module and a 30% bonus is huge.
For some people, some one at 75% is an expert while for other it is 100%.
Just a matter of play styles which is why I made the suggestion for an option.

Same here. Luckily it only takes 5 minutes to change it yourself if you know what you're doing. :D

Yes, being GECK-capable has its advantages! I have the little "how-to" posted in my FAQ over at Nexus so people can lower it if they want....or raise it I suppose. lol.

@Uriel Septim VII - Thank you so much!

I'd do it too if I wasn't so close to actually completing the main quest for the first time (just been having too much fun (I blame you World of Pain and New Vegas Bounties).
Come on Yes Man!

Then I want to head east and see the Capital.... Wasteland. :)

My suggestion was more for those players who like a real hard core style of Fallout and might get turned off by a 100 Survival Skill.

Looking at the endorsemants this is getting I doubt that will be a problem.

But they would really be missing some thing if it was! ;)

Hmmmm I wonder how Charon is doing....

I have been trying to find the words to describe this. One of the BEST that I have used,( I don't use them very often but something about this one caught my eye and ear)VERY nicely done.

The quest 'She likes me, she likes me not' activated itself at a seemingly random time when I was walking around the little NCR camp outside of Primm. I haven't actually met Willow yet though. Is this normal?

Yes, it activates when you get a certain distance from the point in the gameworld where you will meet her. I did that so you can choose to read about the quest before you meet her so you can be prepared for it and how you will interact with her when you do.

@MissChina1 - Thank you.
