[REQz/WIPz] Willowedge Inn

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 8:37 am

Ohhh that's pretty! I love the exterior. :) I can't tell, is there a stable for all the visiting horses?

Here's another version of the inn textures. Tried to combine those two variations as best I can (there's all sorts of funky uv mapping going on). How's my aim?

Oh you're getting better! Starting to look fantastic! :D The third screenie in my post shows the corral area for horses. Even dropped my horse Savior off there and told him to stand still for a minute. :P Had to make sure horses would fit through the gate. LOL I'm going to toss some ivy on the back wall as well so it wont look quite so bald back there.

Yup that's perfect :D, If you set it up and place it in-game, be sure to set it up as a clutter item. I'll be needing to attach a script to it you see :foodndrink:

Congratulations for this great idea of a mod! It is coming along just wonderful! This is indeed a great modding community?

What's your idea on the NPCs? Will the visitors and guests be generated randomly? What about the employees? Those should have their own names?but not essentials.

It will be great if you can script random (but not that frequent) bandit or goblin attacks! So you will definitively need to hire your own security! There will be chances that visitors or your staff gets killed so you will need to hire more and therefore your earnings will suffer the consequences of not being prepared.

I would love to see some action in the surroundings too, may be very well placed spawns of some wild animals?you know?the Inn is out there in the "wilderness" and there is no fence! Also how about some "duties" to be performed outside? Like someone cleaning the entrance road, someone working on a nearby warehouse, some one tending the horses, etc. I would not like to see a "dead environment" outside the Inn.

Well those are my two cents at the moment. Congratulations once more! It will be instant download for sure.

Cheers!

Alrighty Strider! Time for your executive opinion. :P What do you think of the furniture? I can easily change the pattern and color if you don't like it. :D

Ohh i like how the bar is turning out. :)

Hmm ... to me that pattern sticks out as too modern. Is it possible to go the leather or fur route. Maybe something that says more medieval?

You betcha! That's an easy change. :D Color? Want to go more warm? Like a burgundy/brown?

Alright! New screens! :D

Here's the fabric and color change for the furniture:

and a couple updated pics of the exterior. Added some Ivy. Makes it look like it's been there a while I think:

Wow you're fast who. Do you need me to upload the inn textures (I think I've gotten them about as good as possible without some reuvmapping) and the other oddities?

LOL Wait until you're finished! Gives me more time to tinker with the clutter. :P And I do love tinkering with the clutter. That sign is BRILLIANT! Can't wait to add that to the outside of the Inn!

Oh! Almost forgot! Greenwarden is tossing together a few paintings for the Inn for me. :D She does wonderful work with screenies. Has one planned of one of her characters with a lute. Should fit the theme beautifully!

Edit: If anyone knows how to uv map let me know.

LOL Glad to hear it! Remember, I'm working for you here so if you want any changes, be sure to tell me. :foodndrink:

New doors are a great idea! Are you going to retex existing doors? If so, right now these are the ones I'm primarily using:
SKDoorUpper01
SKModularDoor01

I'll be adding a third door to that list once I start putting doors on the rooms so I'll let you know which. :D

This looks wonderful. Instant download when it's finished, and you're making great progress.

Can I make a small request? I think there needs to be a bit more external stuff. As well as a horse corral, maybe a stable and a well, perhaps a low wall or fence around the whole place and a vegetable garden, maybe a storage shed. Personally I think that the wilderness inns need to feel more like a little settlements, the vanilla inns on gold Road (Gottshaw and Brina Cross, I always get them mixed up) do this quite nicely.

I do believe we're alright. :D That camp is a bit further south than the Inn.

There is a corral for the horses. :D I've not gone crazy with the self support stuff as Cheydinhal itself is right off the back door. :lmao: I can certainly add a bit more in though. Let me fiddle.
