I am trying to install and play Oblivion on my windows 8 64 bit system. Problem I am having is, when I put the dvd in, as I bought the GOTY edition a while back, it either freezes the program or gives me an error message. So then I tried running it in compatability mode. I tried with Windows Vista (as that was the last system I ran the game successfully on.) and Windows XP compatability. None of them work. I get the Oblivion Splash screen, and install shield starts, but it just stops responding there. Oblivion is a good game, and I have over played Skyrim and Fallout: New Vegas, would really like to be able to play Oblivion again, especially with the new mods that are on the Nexus.
