I bought the steam version of fallout 3 GOTY a few months ago and never got it to work. Recently with fallout new vegas starting i wanted to play fallout 3. I found my old Fallout 3 disk that i had used with my old computer and tried installing it and getting it to work. I get the same error. I had deleted the fallout 3.ini and everything in that folder before installing. I know this isn't steams version of this and was seeing this sometime ago as the problem. I have tried the multi thread and core fix and it didnt work. Here is the Dxdiag

get rid of Nero from what i've heard FO3 and Nero, don't get along but i'd wait till someone confirms, i'm about 90% sure that is whats causing your crashes
