windows 7 issues

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 5:59 pm

hi all, im trying to instal some mods but im using windows 7,

i understand that there are problems with this system i aleady have the game in a different file than program files.

also i have read that when using windows 7 that there are problems with mods that auto install themselves, do i simply get around this issue by not using the auto installers for these mods, by either doing it manually or with omods?

also do the installer issues also include problems with installing OBMM, OBSE, wyre bash, BOSS, wyre python, etc. does windows 7 cause any problems with installing these???

thanks

Short answer: No.

Longer answer: OOO's installer had issues installing to the default (i.e. C:\Program Files\...) directory, but you've already circumvented that issue. Beyond that, Windows 7 is smooth sailing :)

This :)

I have Ultimate, not sure if that makes a difference, but I have no problems with Windows 7.

Running '7' here also with (currently) 200 or so mods. No issues.

Windows 7 works fine. A few issues which sometimes makes the CS crash on you when it knows you haven't saved for a while. Apart from that it's fine :P

My incredible google-fu has revealed on the first link that "The Python File Format Interface, briefly PyFFI, is an open source Python library for processing block structured binary files"

From what I understand it is used to optimize meshes for an improvement in FPS but probably not recommended for a beginner.
