I'm trying to get MW running in a friends new windows 7 computer, all is well until I click until on "New" on the main menu. First I get an error saying that the game cannot locate menu click.wav, then I get the intro movie, following which the game cannot find boat_waves.wav, and then the game crashes. Am I missing something here? I've updated the game to 1.6.somethingorother (the most updated Bloodmoon patch), installed Tribunal before Bloodmoon, ect cetra. The only files loaded are the three ESMs for MW, trib and BM. I have verified that both sound files it cannot locate are in the right place. Any help is appreciated.

Try running as an admin either on the whole user account or just the game itself. Also, try turning off UAC and run the game again to see if that does anything.

Actually, I fixed it. Somehow the Sound folder in Data Files was called "Sounds" instead of what it should be.
