As in glass windows that you can see through? Can you point to where it says or depicts that?

We don't know yet. Maybe there will at least be some open rooms. What they need to bring on is lighted windows from FNV.

@MasterSamson88 Pretty much the same as always. Insides are insides. Outsides are outsides.

No surprise.

I know, but it's still disappointing because it totally could be fixed and there is no reason to not fix it.

oh wow it is different cells
oh well I dont care either way
fallout did it fine for me, and for PC players there are mods, I dont think some consoles/pc could handle it, my computer used to be so bad it would lag whenever an alpha map was used

It could just be buildings are in different cells. I hope everything else is open in this game. I hope someone takes the trouble to make an open building mod.

I kind of wanted it to be like this. I didn't expect the entire world to be in one cell. Plus you autosave automatically every time you enter and exit a building giving you one extra load back in case a save or quicksave went wrong. Also I think he means "insides are insides outsides are outsides" in regards to buildings rather than towns and cities, so we might have open cities but not open buildings.

Even if building are seperated from outside cells I hope all the house's interiors will be with in the same cell.

I just hate going through 3 loading screens running through a house in the Imperial City.

No one expected the world to be in one cell. People were hoping for window portals between cells.

When you think about it it isn't that big a deal. Not as though you would enter a building just o look out of the window at people passing by :P

It would have been awesome, but, eh, I can definitely live without it.

The entire world wouldn't be in one cell. There are external cells that load as you near them.

It makes sense. I'm more concerned about Open Cities. Has anyone asked Pete about that via Twitter yet?

well it doesn't disappoint me too much. what I hope is just that the loadings will be short. that's probably the only complaint I had about oblivion

i see it working pretty much like Oblivion/Fallout handled it. the smaller settlements - places like Riverwood, etc. - will be open and in the world, though it goes without saying that they'll be a fair bit bigger than the boring three-house "villages" that dotted Oblivion's landscape - they'll probably be more like settlements in New Vegas.

the actual CITIES will probably be their own worldspaces, though with GI throwing around terms like "massive cities" i'm thinking each city will be split into multiple fairly large districts (palace district, market district, residential district, etc.) like the Imperial City was, though obviously with a more interesting layout.

i'd also like to think each city would have URBAN SPRAWL outside the city proper, so you'd see slums and farmland surrounding each city (like in the Witcher, for instance).

You should also read that portals thread that was around here recently. It explained how you wouldn't even need to have buildings exist in an exterior cell to have real windows.
