Wins hideout as a safe house

Post » Mon Jul 18, 2011 7:01 am

Has anybody ever lived in Wins hideout before? I'm moving my main character into it now and I'm wondering if anybody's ever had any trouble with losing items or anything like that with it.

I have not, but if you're on pc I believe you can just use the console to make sure the containers don't respawn and set ownership, essentially making it possible to live anywhere ^^

Damn you, 360! :brokencomputer:

I'd love a list of 'safe' homes for console users.

I'm fairly sure there's a list on the wiki, though?

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout:_New_Vegas_player_housing page is a pretty useful summary if you're looking for "safe" housing, check the individual wikipages for more information.

Yeah I checked that out but Wins hideout isn't on there so I was hoping somebody could verify if it was actually safe or not, but as it turns out I answered my own question, literally right after I got done moving everything in a Great Khan comes busting in the door so I guess I'm going to have to pick somewhere else.

How the fuzz did a Great Khan get to this part of the Map? You must have angered him at Red Rock, and he followed you there.

wasn't there a glitch where a great khan would just run up to you anywhere in the wasteland and it would zoom in on their face then they'd just run away

I had a Great Khan assault me as i exited Hoover dam, so that might be the same bug as you experienced... dont know though. Still, if you're on PC, you can just set ownership and stop respawning fairly easily.

Once I was hanging out in Hidden Valley bunker level 1, and three Great Khans walk around the corner. No idea how they got there, they just showed up. Hi-larious. Got a screenshot of it in my goofs folder.

I remember hearing about that, could have sworn it was fixed though....
