NORDS.

Nords are resistant to cold you know. Only us outlanders will need cold weather gear. Naked nords ( or near naked ) would be the norm.

I hope there are thick fur coats for the rest of us. Bretons might be magic resistant but we freeze pretty easily.

Yeah i was thinking about that but i didnt think itd be too good cause we'd need a new skill, but now that i think about it this is a new game so why not a crafting spell?
but then alchemy would be kind of a small skill in comparison
what do you think?

well, alchemey would still be neccessary for magic potions and the like, no other way to make a potion of chameleon or a night-eye potion, but we should at least have an equipment crafting skill.

Well Skyrim at times is very cold and has snow at places . I think it is only very logical it should have winter clothing that has animal furs. I want minator fur armor :)

Alchemy and Crafting have almost nothing whatsoever to do with one another, except the fact that you take something and make it into something else. I don't think it would make alchemy less important at all, because the skills are completely different. You're not crafting poisons and potions, are you? And you're not mixing up a Restore Fatigue helmet from ground potatoes and a leek.

>Winter clothing>SkyrimBy god if anyone votes no...
Whoa, I seriously thought i was on /v/ for a second there.
I already typed >implying before I realized this is the wrong forum.

But I hope there's a lot of winter clothing. Especially something like the fur armor in Oblivion.

Ah, just as I was thinking... Imagine that, walking around upon the snowclad mountaintops in Skyrim, while that cape is blowing in the wind. Hopefully they will implent a descent physics system for both clothing and hair.

 I wouldn't be surprised. And if it isn't in, then someone will mod it.

There absolutely needs to be winter clothing, and an assortment of it. I want options :)

I hope some areas of the game will require winter clothing to not get illness or cold effects , Btw I also hope there will be seasons so that in certain seasons you will need winter clothes and in others not ....

They've already used leather, chiton, etc., so furs shouldn't be a problem. Wait...now if they use snow leopard fur, or amur tiger fur....well, ya.... It could be SUCH a problem if PETA buys 100 copies of the game and does a game burning :roll eyes: ;)

But then you know there's those folks who will mod it so that it doesn't matter so that they can see their flippin' modded bodies jiggling in the snow :verymad: I don't understand why half the mods out there are for bikini armour.....

I voted yes even if I'm vegan. It's a game set in a cold world where people need too hunt for protection and food, it's pretty obvious that it should be in the game. I'll probably have a good laugh if Peta actually cares about it.

I voted No. I try to play these games as much to real life as possible. I don't need the game forcing mechanics on me that I can easily carry out through personal choice and gameplay. In Oblivion, I wouldn't travel into the snowy regions unless I had a spare set of fur armour on me. I didn't wear it, but I considered it as protective layer I was wearing under my other armour to keep me warm.
