[RELZ] Winter Wonderland: New Vegas

Post » Wed Sep 22, 2010 2:22 am

I haven't started this yet but can do it over the weekend since it's pretty quick and straightforward: it's basically this mod for Fallout: New Vegas

I'm going to the trouble of a WIP thread just in case anyone had any requests/suggestions - bearing in mind that I don't want to turn it into this big epic thing - my modding time is pretty limited these days - but I did want to just string up a few fairy lights and put a pretty lit tree here and there about the place.

You should perhaps also change some of the ground textures to various snowy ones. Just so the entire wasteland has a snowy ground and it would add to the mood. I would enjoy that.

Hmm. Maybe I have an idea.

Maybe you could make a list of what you want and leave it at a drop box at a faction compound. Depending on your level, what your request is, and your faction rep, you could get something real nice.

Also, giving gifts for faction rep would be sweet too.

Well, I'm going to give myself one day to do this (tomorrow) and I'll see how many of the suggestions I can incorporate in that time.

Thanks for the input, everyone :)

If I knew how I'd 'port over my Oblivion http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13308 mod and you could use that if you wanted to :)
I know how to do clothes and armor but not objects. Oh well.

Oh, that's cute :)

Yeah, I'm not going to have this finished for tonight. I'm having this weird problems where a lot of the interiors seem to have half of it "missing" - like I can see mentions of references in the item list that appear invisible in the render window. Has anyone else had that? Any idea how to fix it? I've tried going to the view tab but it's not obvious what's up.

It's a shame new vegas is located in the desert, I would love to have a snow mod like they made for fallout 3...especially now. It allmost makes me wanna reinstall fallout and start over again lol. I hope your going to get the bug fixed, I heard that it's an editor bug, I'm having the same problems as well a lot of the time. It's really annoying :(....

Sorry the finished mod isn't as cool as some of your ideas here, but I haven't been feeling too well lately (stupid winter cold). I just strung up some lights around the place, which does cheer the place up a little bit. I'll have to see about incorporating these ideas into a future revision.

Get it while it's hot (or, more accurately, sub-zero):
