[WIPZ] Winter Wonderland! (an other-world house mod)

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 7:18 pm

awsome :D then why not create a world using these type of landscapes and textures? will be looking further into this matter, currently working on a cool mod, very excited about the possiblity to use these types of landscapes ^^

Its a fun idea to think about, but be wary that such a mod takes thousands of hours of work.

Alright, in order for me to make my Christmas deadline I will release the mod without some of the original things I stated, there won't be a dungeon, or a real quest. The house will consist of several "dorms" that can be rented on the tallest tower of the fortress with an awsome view of the landscape.

The mod WILL have:

- A working town with NPCs and complete schedules
- A new beverage to boost endurance and speed -- Kof'ee
- 3 "dorms" that can be bought, ranging from cheap to expensive
- Ridable deer mounts that can be bought from a Falmer camp

Later I hope to add a dungeon along with a quest of some sort.

JK

I decided to go ahead and do a dungeon. I made good progress today!

http://elderion.com/ww/1
http://elderion.com/ww/2
http://elderion.com/ww/3

So yay. The new dungeon will be small, however, just a simple quest.

Progress so far:

Exterior: 100%
Interiors: 100%
AI Packages: 100%
Quests/dialogue: 0%
Dungeon: 10%

Feel free to use one of my mods called:

SB Resource - Farm House Extension
http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25060

That resource contains some nicely textured snowy houses.

Hey guys, UPDATE:

I'm done! I am just not sure I should release this now, or later? I am beginning preliminary work on my next "Other-World" mod called Zenith, a tropical island set in the center of towering mountains and river-valleys. Should I release these mods together?

RELEASE! Just in case something happens.... I think many world builders are interested in the mountains.

Hello everyone, I'm back. As you know this mod suddenly disappeared off the face of the earth with no explanation. Well.. I ran into some serious life problems but things are back on track now. Around January I was within days of finishing, even hours. I created a teaser that I never put on Youtube.

A couple days ago I fixed some of the last bugs for my initial release of Eyr. And so, you can expect a release tomorrow/Monday/Tuesday... VERY SOON! So check out the video on Youtube! :)

I need someone to beta test this mod... this means just walking around and making sure there are no missing textures/models and that the quests look fine. Its all packed up, I just don't want to release until I'm sure I didn't forget to include anything... thanks!

I confess I've never beta tested a mod before, but I suppose I could volunteer to poke my nose around it for a bit and report my findings.
