Glenhaven's History

20 Years prior to the time of the dragon attack on Helgen, Glenhaven was just one farmhouse in midst of a wooded area of the Falkreath Hold. The farmhouse belonged to a man and his wife who once lived in Falkreath as children, but looked for a better life away from the looming presence of death and war that had fallen on Falkreath so heavily. The man and his wife found a beautiful area to build their farm and were blessed plentiful crops in the first few years.

The success of their farm and the passage of goods, caught the attention of many bandits across the Falkreath hold. Although the husband found help from his friends and family, he soon realized he couldn't fight them off forever. After word got around to the local guards and soldiers about the bandits, the Imperials decided to use this land as a tactical point in the war against the Stormcloaks. They offered to help give husband and wife farmers protection and security against the bandits in return for use of their labour and loyalty to the Empire.

The man and his wife became loyal supporters of the Empire for giving a safe place to live. They felt indebted for their help in time of need. With the funding of the Empire, the Military Outpost , an Inn and the General Goods store was built. Other farmers, hunters and fishermen, who agreed to support the Empire and help the community, built their houses in Glenhaven.

The Conflict in Glenhaven

An extremely ambitious Imperial general is stationed at the outpost in Glenhaven. He will take any means necessary to win the war against the Stormcloaks. The general is approached by the Thalmor to join forces together against the Stormcloaks for their mutual gain. The general would be successful in battles and the Thalmor would stop the worship of Talos and gain a stronger presence in Skyrim.

The recent arrival of Thalmor to Glenhaven has created much fear for security amongst the Glenhaven people. The people do not trust the Thalmor and feel that their involvement will cause the end of the Nordic people and be forced out by the elves.

In the major quest of Glenhaven, the player must discover what the Thalmor are plotting, locating the powerful evil Thalmor wizard and stopping him before he can use his power against the people of Glenhaven and the rest of Skyrim.
