Hey guys, I'm back after a very long hiatus. I'm getting a new laptop soon, so my interest in MW has been renewed, and I decided before I got my laptop, I'd pass the time by continuing my work on my premier house mod, Nerethi Manor.

Nerethi Manor is a tremendous manor that is very similar to Venim Manor in Ald-Ruhn, but larger. I'm a firm believer that the key to a house mod is not things like book sorters, quests or unique tilesets, but instead taking what the game gives you and using it in unique ways that are very original. That is why the Redoran tileset is my favorite set. There are so many unique applications for the tileset, and with a little bit of creativity and trial and error, the end product will have a similar tileset to other buildings in Morrowind, but the statics are so expertly placed and creative it looks like a new tileset. That is what I aim for with Nerethi Manor, and the master bedroom, library and the new Hall of Honor reflect this principle.

I don't have any new pics of the new version yet, as it is still not done, the new rooms and changes to the old rooms are done. But I still need to add some things, and more dialog for the staff of the manor, which will take awhile because I svck at dialog. But nonetheless, I'll have pics of the new version up very soon.

Version 1.1 (the screenshots are extremely dark, I truly apoligize, I use Darker Morrowind and my shots never turn out. It looks tons better in person though, I promise.)

New screens will be here soon. Feel free to comment, make suggestions, talk about how bad I svck at modding, etc. :)

hiya!

i'm always interested in new and /or updated housing mods (have no talent modding for myself) but i can barely make out your screens.... although i think its this comp as well as darker morrowind.
i couldn't see how many shelving you had set up but i always can use lots of shelves, and bookcases.. in every room!! i like the kitchen as is, and the master bedroom is very regal. the exterior is kinda hard to pizazz (no gardening here..?) seeing the environment its placed in, but a front porch light of some kind would be lovely.. and does the library come with all those books? is it a collection of every book in the game?
i wish i could download your previous version and test in game.... on my bf's useless mac :brokencomputer: atm, which means no morrowind.

Thank you very much for showing interest. There are a lot of house mods these days and that may dissuade people from checking out my mod, though I like to think my house is unique and fits a niche which really hasn't been overdone.

But anyway, I'll make sure when I take some new pics I'll crank up the night eye. Honestly the manor has a ton of lighting, my screen shots just don't show up right. You have my word. Yes, there's a lot of shelves and areas for display. I always like to show off artifacts so thats a biggie for me. The books on the bookshelf are actually fake, and the shelf itself is a container. However, I am planning on adding a book sorter to the private study I'm planning on building.

But thanks so much for showing interest.

Thanks, it's the one room I'm not touching in this update.

Well I have new screens, but for some reason the forum won't let me post links, so I'll just leave the link to the album for now. Please I need some insight from the community.

This post have my interest too :) I just love Redoran architectura, and this house fits my taste for what I've seen in the screens.
I'm going to test it ingame and give you a more accurate review :)

Thanks very much, just remember the download link is to an earlier version, which isn't that great.

Not quite yet I'm afraid. I still have a bit to go, and its not packed and ready I will need to include some meshes, but maybe I will swing a test copy for you in the next day or two.

Please do, you wont be disappointed. With the house or the Redorans. The house is my favorite, I do recommend the LGNPC mods involving Redoran towns and the entire Redoran questline, they're very well done. I even connected my house to a character featured in LGNPC Pax Redoran.

The house itself looks good. However, i find the place of the house not that good. Ald Velothi is a tiny fishing village and there is only a redoran watchtower there. Such a big manor doesn't fit in a little village in my opinion.
Gnisis would be a better place for it, as that is a bigger place then Ald Velothi and such a big manor would fit better there. I think between the silt strider port and the madach trade house would be a nice spot.

And i think you don't have to be a redoran to use a redoran styled house ;) I use Abu Manor also and my character is a telvanni.

Ehh, I don't really like that idea, sorry. Gnisis isn't really a Redoran town, its mostly an Imperial Mining Town. Its a hard decision, obviously the manor would fit best in Ald-Ruhn or Maar Gan but I hate the Ashlands, so I want it somewhere in the West Gash, and Khuul and Ald Velothi are the only Redoran West Gash Towns, as small as they are.

I'll probably include different esps for different locations

Not true. Gnisis is 100% Redoran. The eggmine is owned by House Redoran, not the imperials. The town is actually ruled by Hlaren Ramoran, which is a councilor from House Redoran. Hetman Abelmawia is the steward from Ramoran.
The Legion in Gnisis just got permission to build a fort there and yes you find imperial guards walking the streets. But Gnisis is a redoran town.

What you do with the information is up to you, but i just wanted to clarify that Gnisis isn't imperial.

I guess, but the other thing is that the Nerethi family is another high ranking family in House Redoran, at least in LGNPC lore, so it wouldn't make much sense to me that the manor would be in Gnisis but Gnisis is controlled by another family, just doesn't seem right.

Sweet. I look forward to it, and i'll check out the other one as well. Maybe i would actually finish the main quest for the first time if it weren't for all these mods :shakehead:

Very nice. My Redoran character finally has a place to call home. And can I ask what texture replacer is being used in the screenshots? Because it's awesome.
