Fantastic Work!, Sounds like its a cutscene type deal where say you click on a button that asks would you like to play a game of pool, the there would be like Yes/No, then if you clicked yes it would take you to the poolroom type thing. I'm hoping maybe also with what I found last night after I open the games and see if I can look at the scripts and see how there done that maybe can put one together for here. these I found also are 3D, so it maybe possible to use the F3 tables, About the only hard part I see is how exactly we can make the animations work correctly with what we have to work with as far as what's offered from Beth and the Geck.
Thanks. Almost there. There's a cutscene with someone standing in front of the pooltable, holding a cue (you don't need one, it's provided), you have to play for money, so maybe it's hidden in a transaction somewhere. Minimal 50$, maximum 1000$.
You always get the break.
Open table until the first ball drops, after that it's strips or solids -exception is if you drop both balls, one stripe, one solid in one shot; table remains open.
eight ball always last.
Miss everything, scratch the cueball, sink an opponents ball:
Shot from anywhere on the table, but no free shot
sink the eight out of sequence, loose the game
anims:
determining angle can be either top down or 3D along the line of the pool cue. everything beyond the table is just for show and window dressing at this moment (360 display of the environment)
strike position on the cueball is just a white circle with a cursor that indicates where the ball gets struck
after angle and strike position are determined, you revert back to the 3D animation of the table.
Your character is standing over the table with the cue in his hands, lining up a shot (as previously determined), you are now gauging how much power you want to put into the shot, and see the cue-arm moving back and forward.
Depending on the power value chosen, the animation is either a tap, thunder and lightning, or something inbetween
The only extra animation for the opponent is to see him/her walking around the table a bit first before going into "line-up shot mode" which is the same as for your character.
Acolyte; -trickshot- behind his back, rips the cloth and was lst seen running for his life with an angry barowner in hot pursuit
