Update: I'm sorry about not mentioning this before now, but I would like to at this point and time, "Welcome Munkyfish aboard", as partner in this mod adventure,mostly he'll be dealing with scripting but will be active in all other avenues of this project!
Also would like to give old_andy a warm welcome also, he's working on trying to get implemated into our mod the pool game! :celebration:
Would like to Welcome onboard also BigCrazeWolf, he'll be working on a fighting arena similiar to Oblivion's, should be a great addition to the overall mod. :celebration:

Also possibly in the near future we'll also have Aquan here,joining us with a possible inter-related mod of his and the casino. :foodndrink:

ALSO UPDATE: Looking for a modeler that can make some custom tables and slot mach with stand if possible but at least the slot machine, PM if you would like to work on this mod!

I think that I may be able to use the boxing scripts and the scripts used for the fighting in San Francisco for F3 after there revamped. SO things should work out nicely! in that direction!

Might I suggest the high/low game? Somebody broke down how to do it but essentially think that you are rolling 2 dice (1-6 + 1-6) and you must guess low (2-6) or high (8-12) where 7 makes the house automatically win. With 7+ luck it will always subtract one when you guess low and add 1 when you guess high.

Absolutely my friend its on the list and I've downloaded the High/Low scripts that were uploaded. so I would say it's a safe bet you'll have your game!

Sounds good Munkyfish, do you have that by chance? there's no big hurry yet just started on remodling so it will be a few days yet. before I will reach the point where I'll need it. :celebration:

im still working on roulette (just found that you can only have 10 buttons in a message box. do you know how many diffrent bets you can make on roulette) and as for makeing dialog i havent even tryed that yet. i only mention that it should be a dialog so it seems like you are playing against someone
but when i get the roulette finished i will look in to makeing a blackjack game.

Sounds fantastic Munkyfish, I have stll besides building the place , have to try and make some custom meshes and textures, I want to try and hide the old rusty walls put like , hmm like maybe wood paneling, just something to hide the ugliness.

I could be wrong here...but I think dialog is much easier than message boxes (then again, maybe its because I've never really done a message box :shrug:) I'm sure you could have it to where you talk to the dealer and play like that.

Don't think it would be too hard to implement...but I could just be rambling again

WOuld'nt it be cool to pick up a set of dice and try throwing a craps?

at the moment im reading about dialog (it might be better than makeing loads of complicated messages)

honestly, if you're going to activate the game through an NPC anyway...it's much easier to use dialog than messages (imo)
Message Boxes can get quite complicated...If you want a good example check out http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3729 in game, then in the GECK...
Not to say that dialog can't get complicated...it can, I just feel its easier to work with.

You could use Red Odd, Red Even, Black Odd, and Black Even. Just an idea I have never moded before I dont even own FO3 for PC but the more and more I read the mod pages I want to get it.

I can't imagine craps being too difficult, since it's only a RNG.

Boxing matches would be cool too, maybe you can add the option of having the player join too.

Not a problem my friend!, We'll all learn together then and when its all said and done , down the road we'll have put together one of the finest , enjoyable mods for Fallout, thats ever been made!

I don't know if it would help, or if it's worth your time, but if you have Morrowind there is a mod called Haldenshore that had gambling in it. Maybe check it out and see how it was implemented there for ideas of what and what not to do. The scripts must be somewhat similar. I think I remember it being executed thru dialog in that mod.

Thanks a million Aquan, for that info, I don't have it but will see if I can maybe pick-it up, I also was going to look at F1andF2 the scripts that were used for there games. As I posted in earliar thread, since I'm new to modding an being as Munkyfish is also , may not have everything we want , right off the bat but, that will allow for updates and to make the mod much better as learning progress's In the end my vision for this mod is to have pretty much all types of gambling, pool playing, a nice bar, and for those that like to indulge, have a special area for exotic dancers.

In my minds eye, I can see it happening! :celebration:

Hey old_andy, I found a mod today that allows for exotic dancers so I downloaded it going to check it out, you may have your lap dances yet,hahaha,
also found one for dancing???
