Spell Mimicry is a small but, hopefully, interesting Mod based around giving the Player the ability to temporarily mimic 'any' spell used against them. The original idea was a kind of "Magical Scavanger" character--someone who had no innate magical ability, but a rare and powerful gift which allowed them to temporarily use the Spells used against them.
When you first load the Mod, you receive a Lesser Power 'Mimicked Spell', and at first it is completely useless... Until you get hit by an enemy Mage's spell--then, a soon as Mimicked Spell is equipped, you will automatically equip the same spell the enemy just used on you. If you get hit by another spell, your equipped spell will update to whatever spell it was.
So, you could fight a Fire Mage, and gain a Flames spell; keep that for a while until you get into a showdown with a Frost Mage, and end up with an Ice Blast spell instead. The 'challenge' of using such magic comes from the possibility of losing something awesome thanks to an enemy getting a lucky shot...
If you unequip the spell, you just have to re-equip Mimicked Spell to gain it back.
Right now, it seems to work on any type of spell--Shouts, Dragon attacks, normal mages, et cetera... Nothing like unleashing a dual-volley of Dragon Fire from your hands
The core is about 99% complete, and except for testing/maybe a bit of balancing, the only current issue is that a lot of NPC spells seem to be 'right-hand-only', forcing the Spell into the PC's right hand
So... Yeah, hopefully releasing soon-ish, if I can be sure everything is fine, and don't decide to go overboard with other features
