WIPz] Animated Morrowind

How about sleeping people?

It really bugs me that no one in morrowind sleep. I would think that at some point people would go to bed since they obviously have them. maybe a script that sends people to their homes and into bed at a certain time?

Yeah, I believe I've a basic anim of a sleeping person somewhere, but it didn't start over again smoothly...

I was walking through a tavern (in the game) and came up with another possible animation: A plate/cup cleaning animation for bartenders. What do you think? :)

Arg. I was just thinking that the other day. *chuckle* Yes, bartenders should really be doing something, and they can't just pour drinks endlessly - the generic bartender action (at least in television/movies) seems to be cleaning a glass.

A pose mod would be "sort of" possible for MW - not the same as in Ob though. I've been thinking of something similar to this actually. It would use basically the same method as LAL, so it would be kinda limited compared to Ob (it would work by cloning the player, making the clone do the animation and hiding the "real" player while it's happening).

Yes, the LAL method could be a way to do a Morrowind pose mod, didn't thought in that. Even though limitations, it would be an advancement for Morrowind photographers :)

Are you going to do any player animations? I think there should be one so when you drink a potion you actually take one out and put it to your mouth. mabye a first person version as well.

Definitely my most anticipated mod! My favourites are the readers, fishermen and dreamers - but they're all great to be honest. My only suggestion would be to make the lute player's legs less.... static? Have him tapping along with the song, perhaps. Also, will the beggar be included as an animation? Can't wait for the release!

Keep up the good work! I'm amazed nobody has attempted something like this before (or at least gotten far with it), but it will bring a whole new degree of realism and depth to Morrowind.

That's basically what the Bartenders are always doing in Arena and Daggerfall. I say go for it.

All is wonderful but i have a complain. The lute song Greensleeves is one of the most famous english songs of all the entire history. Its is possible to put a not so recognisable song?

These animations look amazing, they would add so much life to the world. I will definitely be watching this for the release. I do agree with connary though, Greensleeves is pretty well-known and it would be nice to have a more unfamiliar song in Morrowind. Maybe one of these would work? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVUcjDO8-JM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYv8C7y66Lo&feature=related I'm not very familiar with lute music, but to me these sound like they're at least two players each- maybe you could have a duet somewhere? Just some ideas. No matter what you decide, I'm sure it will turn out great.

IIRC none of the sounds will be included with the mod, they will be customizable.

Somehow I had the impression that sounds were included from reading the thread, but I guess it's even better if they're customizable.

Would you be able to animate other things to add atmosphere, like a slight bobbing to boats on water, a flutter to the sails and tents. Or are animations restricted to monsters and characters?

If you make boats and sails activators then it shouldn't be a problem.

Maybe you would like these:
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25278 gives soul gems a particle effect
http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=750 replaces the potions, some of them have a nice bubble effect

It'll have its music, but of course, anyone can replace the music that comes with this mod with the music he likes :)

at the moment, only Npcs. I don't know if other things will be made

In 2 or 3 weeks I'll continue the animations :)

Thank you Danae, not to my taste, but you are along the right lines when I mean adding a little extra ambiance.

Good to know it can be done, it opens up a lot of interesting options, a lot of objects in the world could do with a small background animation to give it life. I know you do not have plans for it Arcimaestro Anteres but it would be nice to see in the future, good luck with the project. :)
