{WIPz] Lord Devil/Quatloos memorial mod

Post » Sun Oct 11, 2009 8:25 am

I forgot to mention that someone by the name of Somnabulist came forward with an entire 'book' of quotes from LD/Q, so that is actually taken care of. It just needs to be copied into the cs, which I will do. Work is continuing on this. All is going well :)

I haven't gotten any more work done on the urns at this time, but I will. :hehe:

This is the only contribution i could think of...this isnt modded that much but its what was in my abilities. note this in text delimited format. not certain if NPC one will work so here is also other version.
"CREA" "Lord Devil" "Lord Devil" "3" "Humanoid" "100" "65535" "65535" "65535" "99999" "0" "30" "80" "20" "0" "0" "0" "100" "1" "5" "1" "5" "1" "5" "255" "255" "255" "255" "255" "255" "255" "255"

"NPC_" "Lord Devil" "Lord Devil" "3" "Humanoid" "100" "65535" "65535" "65535" "99999" "0" "30" "80" "20" "0" "0" "0" "100" "1" "5" "1" "5" "1" "5" "255" "255" "255" "255" "255" "255" "255" "255"

I wanted to help somehow

Edit:this creates an ancestral ghost who will NOT fight and has all dialogs in game

I know I haven't been here much this year but I have a small idea. Perhaps we could make a skeleton and put some fancy armour on the body (obviously tomb raiders could swipe this but it is an idea)

True but then again maybe there could be a chest with the wearable version? Then the raiders will be happy as well as us

Please, no skeletons... This is not a mod made for entertainment purposes.

Best,

Sorry..... Maybe a Dragur that kills anyone who touches stuffs?

I have another sugguestion.... If you can get a pic of his/her Character then you could make an effigy on top of the coffin like they have in westminster abbey. Wadda ya say to that?

Well, as far as I remember the discussion in the old thread, this mod was meant to be a silent place of peace for those who come to honour Lord Devil/Quatloos.
It may be that Fliggerty scripts some dirty tricks for the fairies (if those are still in the mod) or the coffins, but I doubt there'll be a monster in the place.

There won't be any coffins, only two urns.
Also, no baddies in this mod, it is a memorial.

Read through the past three threads, and agree it will be nice to create a memorial. Even inspired me to do one for Grumpy, may he have found peace. The pics are showing a great job, but is there an ETA?

This is a beautiful idea. I can offer help scripting though it doesn't sond like you need it, some very simple modelling skills and an NPC copy of my online persona though I never really knew her so I'm not sure I'd have a place there but if you say the more the merrier then great.

I'm interested in whether there's an estimated completion percentage for this project. I still need to find a copy of MW so I can reinstall (computer took a hit in the hurricane).......and then I'll be looking to get back to modding. When I do, I'm willing to help out some more if need be.

Keep me posted. Glad this one is still moving forward. :)

I can't speak for the rest of the project, but the landscape for the summit is about 3/5 the way done.

I can't say I know anything about Lord Devil/Quatloos, but if you want the tomb to stand out, I'd use music/sound to set it apart.

I'd love to help with this somehow, it is indeed very sad she passed away. I'd also love to know how that custom sky was made, so I can apply the technique myself.

It was done using the skybox resource. Here's the thread http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=843150&hl=skybox. Hope this helps!

Well the landscape is just starting to really come together, but still lots of land that needs work. Still, progress is progress!

Poonfisher69, how are those urns? :)
