Lol, after being away playing Oblivion for six months I have come back to MW to see this topic as unresolved as when I left. I think this modder has run into a road block with his own mod and can't figure out how to do it and at the same time, doesn't want to give away what has been done so far because he wants all the glory. Perhaps he would rather let the mod die than too see somebody else with knowledge finish what he was unable to do. I hear people say that they have seen him around here and there but, yet, he never bothers to answer anybody anymore. Ego? Maybe. Unprofessional? Certainly. Died? Who knows.

Well, let's not jump to conclusions here *chuckle* All we really know is that we haven't heard anything about this mod fromn zich in a long time - we have no idea why, whether loss of interest, a "roafblack", work, school, personal life, who knows? And as far as I can tell, we also know nothing about whether zich would want someone to use his existing work, so accusing him of being a petty glory hog who won't share seems a little ridiculous to me.

Lol, "a petty glory hog". You said it not me. And there's nothing petty about what he has done.

I think that is a fairly accurate rephrasal of what you said. *shrugs*

I was planning to wait for this before I started playing morrowind, but I guess I should quit while I'm ahead. :brokencomputer:

Ya know, there sure are a hell of a lot of interiors on Vvardenfell. Working to get weather effects (sounds, lightning & such) in most significant interiors now. Interiors. Lots and lots of interiors.

After that I'll start working the other atmospheric changes, as in the first post's YT clip, but first things first. I'll be on vacation for a week starting friday, so I won't be working on this then, but hey, PROGRESS MATE! :ahhh:

So what's done?

- Seyda Neen (by zich)
- Dagon Fel
- Pelagiad interiors

What's being worked on?

- Interiors in alphabetical order, halfway Ald'Ruhn atm.

/update

It lives! :o

At least upload your stuff as a beta modder's resource somewhere, so that others can pick up and continue the project if you original modders are unable (for whatever reason) to continue it for a while. It would be a shame to have this all disappear. :(

Seconded, and you needn't work on this all by your lonesome. Now that the groundwork is done, I think we help with the tedious part of applying it over and over, if you allow us. In any case, thanks for the update. Yeah thanks mate now I can't play morrowind  Enjoy your holiday

Great news AquaNord! Like others, I wish you a happy and safe vacation and place my modest skills at your service. If you'd like a CS monkey to help slave away on those interiors, I'm ready and willing. :^)

Well I don't want to be disrespectful or pessimistic, but I can't help agreeing with Lorca.

19 July 2010 - Going for a one week holiday

25 August 2010 - Still no news

AquaNord, if you won't be able to finish this mod by yourself alone, which is probably the case considering the huge scope of the mod, at least upload it to somewhere so that other modders can work on it. There are quite a few people here willing to continue the project, yet you don't even probably look at this topic anymore. You could have posted something when you were last active on 22 August. I don't mean that you are "a petty glory hog," but what you do is negligence at best.

Oh Aquanord, PLZ post what u've got so far so others can continue ur work if u feel that it is too much for u alone.

Different ppl can work on this together!!! Just assign different cities to volunteers!

Don't let this die, plz!! :nope:

Make this! Seriously, that's amazing, especially the light in the mourning. The only thing I can suggest is that the lightning flashes are a bit too bright, especially in the day they should barely be noticable.

Nope. It was Zich, and AquaNord was the only person to recieve the beta from Zich. AquaNord has been (read as 'was' ) working on continuing it, but he hasn't been heard from in almost half a year?

Zich definitely hasn't been heard from, though he apparently still lurks.

AquaNord you could always just put up Zich's beta. After all, if he was publicly asking for beta testers then I don't see it as a problem to release just the beta (with no extra bits).

You're saying that Aquanord and Zich are the only two human beings on this planet that have the beta file?

Looking through the thread AquaNord was the first and only person who seems to have been accepted as a beta tester by Zich.

Not for long.

Sorry for making y'all hate me so much, but I got in a bit of an anti-TES mood lately, been playing morrowind and oblivon for at least three years straight now and I suddenly got a bit fed up with it.

About this mod, there are some bugs I can't get resolved myself, and I'm not planning on working on this mod anymore due to time constraints (college started again etc.) and the fact that I'm probably not skilled enough to get his working properly. I'm gonna pack up a zip file with all files, and someone else is free to take it up imo.

Damn, I really can't be trusted with promises :| Anyway, as soon as I have some free time and access to my home pc, I'll try to get the files ready. Probably won't be today tho.

Oh and next time I don't reply for a long time, I've got PM notification enabled so just send me a PM ;)

Hmm, what a shame... but understandable.

I'm not even into modding, I basically just encourage people ;-) so I can't help.
Bycote said he/she could!? I hope this gets revived (as soon as Aquanord re-uploads what he's got so far).

Files are 7z'ed and ready to go, so if someone wants to give it a proper shot I'll provide them with a link.

Biggest issue is that zich originally used activators for the thunder/rain/etc sounds, but morrowind seems to only be able to emit sounds directionally this way (so when you're faced away form the activator, you can't hear it). I tried another method using global scripts instead, which worked great for thunder, but not for looping sounds like rain; can't get it to start and end properly. Elseways there's quiet a bit of cleaning up to do in the files.
