ZOMG ! :woot:

Your work is amazing Nekronom !
Don't worry about missing the 111111, better being a bit late with awesomness than early with averageness.
And now ladies and gentlemen !
Here is my entry for the dumbest question of the day:

Have you decided how you're going to release it ?
In a hudge pack à la QTP3 with different choice for resolution or a modular à la Mikal33 ? (releasing a category when it's ready)

Ill be releasing it in pieces so people dont have to wait :D

I voted for armor because I think it has the most value overall, since Oblivion is in need of a complete set of hi-res armors and it's ambitious without being overwhelming. Plus you may be able to take advantage of the 4096x2048 armor textures already completed in http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=27414 (fur, leather). The quality is seriously incredible. There are probably more resources out there that may or may not be useful depending on how you do things, but there's a pretty big gap that needs to be filled before it'd be possible to have truly hi-res versions of every piece of armor. Fill the gap!

Awesome work, and a very ambitious project.

I voted for creatures, because, well, I think they need more help than the weapons and armor.

Can't wait to see more.

Lich looks fantastic, keep up the good work.

I definitely think Armor needs the most love right now. We really don't have any comprehensive armor retextures. Weapons need love, too, but they are not quite as noticeable.

Will defidently follow this. Already downloading the Lich, can't wait for the next release.
Btw, my poll vote is for Races! The Forums is saying I don't have permission to vote, so I decided to put it in my post.

Since you're using Zbrush, you should take a look at http://www.pixologic.com/zclassroom/homeroom/tutorial.php?lesson=GoZ

Thanks NatureOrb, regretfully my computer does not have a sound card and i do not have headphones so i cant watch those videos you linked to, i'll do some reading up on it though.

In the meantime, I'd like to ask the community for direction.

I've got the main body done, but im at loss of where to go for the clothing/armor. I've got an extra 6k tris to use, and another 512x texture set for armor/clothing/accessories.\

Thanks guys!

Also, should you want any help sculpting some high-res normal maps in Zbrush, I could use a better hobby inbetween looking for work..
As long as I don't have to start making new textures I'm all up to the task

So just let me know,
Cheers.

Hey Nekronom you have a file called Umbra on your Lich download, what is that?

It's the sword right, could you post some images?

Also which folders do you put the lich files in? They're just the dds files in a rar by default.

Sorry for the double post I'm used too forums with automerge. Sorry.

you'll have to create a directory for it if you don't have one already. go to your install directory: data files\textures\creatures\lich\*place files here*

Hi Poketama, The umbra files are indeed a replacer for the vanilla sword which i found to be a tad reprehensible, my roommate also asked me to redo it, so i did.

Also, the high res lich textures (2048px) have an inverted green channel resulting in some wonky shading, please download the test file which includes 1024px versions of the same textures.

I'll take some screenshots in a while, you have to make yourself more clear man. Had no idea what that test file was until now.
