I am using a very simple getincurrentcell=player and playsound3d "name of file" right now nothing advanced and for what I need for it to do ..So, I really do not need OBSE ...Thanks for Offering..

Now perhaps this script could be changed over to work better...add in check to see if minstrel is dead and sound does not play I have not figured that out yet..Or the script could be changed so that the sound plays when the lute is equipped..but My scripting skills are not that good..

But it works very well and playsound3d works for what I need...Have you tried it yet..


This mod is not yet ready for primetime release far from it..

1. Code between "begin OnDeath" and the next "end" runs when the actor is dead.
2.
So drop Play3DSound, use a sound object instead (at the position of the minstrel), and add this to the minstrel's script:
begin ondeathMinstrelSoundObject.disableend

I hope this helps you. I haven't tested it myself, though.

I will try it out and see how it works thank you..

Perhaps I can make it work with playsound3d..

if 2d is checked off then sound will not use min / max distance for volume..

yeah, strangely I'm even more impatient about that mod than about Tamriel Travellers, or NPCs with Jobs - which are great though! (well haven't tested NPCs but I'm sure it is and will be)!

No pression of course, but just be sure that we're a lot of people waiting patiently for this mod to progress =)

I've been following this mod since the very beginning, and am still really looking forward to it.

I also just dug out my Adobe Audition disks this weekend and installed the software, so if anyone has some interesting samples I can play around with, or conversions they need done, just PM me.


And CorePC, any chance there will be any tom-tom players roaming around. Anyone thats ever been to an outdoor Dead show knows from walking through the crowd that two or three dead heads sitting around thumping out some improvised rythms really adds to the ambience. Just curious as Audition comes with alot of drum samples.

Good luck with the other projects too.

Are you planning on using the incredible music from TES 2 DAGGERFALL? It really had some excellent atmospheric music especially for taverns with different ones playing at different times of the day. So during daylight hours it was usually happy playful music while at night it was calm soothing gonna go to bed soon music. There are remixes and mp3 conversions all over the internet available. Most of it with a very updated sound to it.

All new stuff will be released has they come and are made....


Well Sarkandar is the person who does the animation and most of this stuff is a combined team effort from Serveral different Modders..We all are busy people..


Yes, we have the drum's but we just need to do the animation work for them..


I will look for them and see what can be done..

I am working on this just take time...

Proconsul..that is okay...Which animation are you talking about?

I already have the lute and violin ( have bow for violin now), just have to get it setup and make sure that work's with violin animation that we have...

If you would like to help then just let me know..We could use some more musicial animations...Drum's would be the next one needed...

Open call...

if you have mad animation skills and think you can pull off a npc playing a drum then Let us know...

Our violin is the one Proconsul made. I redid the animation though, as that used to be a problem back then.

I could not remember who made that animation..I thought it was Proconsul..thank you..Sarkandar...I will remember to make sure that proconsul is listed in credit (originial creator)...

They will be released has they come...We have to work on the fiddle animation so more and work on the placement of the fiddle bow in the hand also..Fiddle bow look really good we just need to make a few more adjustments to it..and then the second minstrel animation will be ready..

If you could send me the kf file settings, or any max settings etc then it would save me time in redoing stuff from scratch. I understand the anim was improved, I remember we came to a sticking point that has now been overcome.

Thank you Ssenkrad..I will email him to see if he is interested in composing some music for the mod...I could really use's some musician to give us some custom made music...in the long run...
