I wish I could get a refund....

Dead Money is the biggest piece of crap I've ever played.... Do you get anything good at the end or did I just waste my money?

Do you have reasons as to why it was terrible or do you just expect everybody to already agree with your opinion?

Is there a reason why you have to act antagonistic when you can see someone isn't in a very good mood and act humane and answer my question?

He is acting antagonistic because you come here, complain about and insult a DLC many if not most love, do not say why you hate it and overall are just wasting our time since we know you hate DM because you are just not good at it. When you go calling Obsidian's work a piece of crap and want a refund when the problem is you and you only you are landing a great insult on people who worked hard on this masterpiece and they deserve better than your petty insults.

Fine then, I don't like it and I'm sure many do like it and many don't, and from what I've read on many other forums is that it isn't a very good DLC and maybe that's why I thought that some others disliked it like me. And please don't try and gang up on someone on the internet like you're proving something.

Not liking it =/= Bad DLC.
I don't like Harry Potter but I won't say that it svcks.

And you still haven't told why you hate it. Is the gameplay a problem, you die often? Or is it the setting? Ask for help if you are in trouble and provide constructive criticism if it's about the setting.
And of course we are not ganging up on you. Just show some respect to the guys who made this game.

I love NV and all of it's DLCs except this one. And yes NV is a masterpiece and one of the best games I've ever played but I just can't say the same about Dead Money. And instead of ganging up on me and trying to make me more angry maybe sharing some tips of how to beat it would be a better, replace bullying with some helpful insight? Sounds like a good idea doesn't it? And thank you for telling me that my signature is against the "rules".

Again, if you need help then just ask for it, don't call it a "piece of crap".

If you want help, there are plenty of walkthroughs in Youtube. Also pay a visit to http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Dead_Money on the DLC, search for the missions you have problems with.

Peace.
Oh and yes, you will be handsomely rewarded. A few hundred thousand caps if you play your cards right.

Buddy, you need to calm down. You started this. If you want help, ask for it kindly. Your original post was no better than trolling.

And yeah, your signature is against the rules of this forum.

I pretty much have to restart it. It seems the DLC wasn't made for every game style but instead for people with high sneaking skills and high melee/unarmed skills, and there are too many traps everywhere and the campfire/bench layout somehow made all of my Sierra Madre Chips go away and I already low on stimpaks had nothing to heal with and I had no recent saves and later on had to pretty much delete all of my recent saves to restart the whole DLC and that was probably what pissed me off and made me create this thread out of anger, confusion, and frustration.

That's the thing though -- you didn't ask for tips on how to beat it; you asked for a refund and said that it svcks.

Anyways, what do you need tips for? Fighting the holograms? The Ghost People? Or are you stuck on a specific quest?

A powerful enough character can run through the DLC with the appropriate skills. My unarmed shocktrooper did quite nice with a Bear Trap Fist which dismembers enemies upon impact, insta-killing all the Ghost People.

So, Pistolero, would you say Dead Money is easier with an Unarmed/ Melee character or a Guns character?

By level 20 (the recommended level for doing the DLC) you should be proficient in at least three skills and decent in a couple of others. The only character type that would really struggle in Dead Money would be a low Endurance Barter, Lockpick, and Science based character with little to nothing in the way of sneak or any combat skills.

Energy Weapons characters have the holorifle (arguably the best EW in the game).

Guns characters have the police pistol and the Automatic Rifle.

Melee and Unarmed have several options for weapons.

Explosives characters can get quite a few mines as well as gas bombs.

What level is your character, and what skills do you specialize in? Dead Money wasn't a particular favorite of mine either, for various reasons, but I still admire the work Obsidian put into many elements of it. Nobody is always happy with every game or DLC a company makes, But in cases like this, it's more of a matter of personal preference, than a case of "this game svcks".

IMO, it's easiest with an energy weapons character, but a side of melee doesn't hurt. Guns are pretty much the least of the weapons, in DM. The .38 is ok, but the automatic rifle is pretty much restricted to being a close-in weapon, making the Holorifle the king of the DLC.

Well this time around if I ever even feel like trying to play that DLC again I'm going to come in with high unarmed and melee skills and I'm getting those implants from the Medical Clinic, my main problem was finding supplies and always running into traps which practically meant I had to walk around in sneak defusing them all and when I got bored of doing that I couldn't escape the traps.... I was hoping it would be as good as the other DLCs which I loved playing.

The game doesn't but I couldn't say the same about the DLC, I see what they were trying to do but they didn't deliver it the way they were trying to it seems.

When people get angry they really say what is in their head and what was in my head was, "This DLC svcks" and that's pretty much what I posted and now that I've had a breather and have calmed down some I'm not thinking the same way as I was earlier even though I still hate this DLC.

Dead Money has a way of separating the good from the bad.

If you hate it, it means that you are frustrated from dying a lot, and that's no one's fault but yours.

Well, now you know what to expect, and what you need to be prepared before starting it again. Also, you know what you need to do, how to do it, and where to go. It was easier and a bit more enjoyable for me the second time through, thanks to that. Who knows, if I ever go through again, I might almost enjoy it ;-)

I only died once which was me dying from a radio, which was me testing out what happens... What would sorting out the good players from the bad ones do for an RPG game? It's not an FPS game with online multiplayer.

That comment by Gingy was a tad elitist, no doubt, and not necessarily an accurate one. I was a pretty good NV player before I got DM, and I had no real difficulty beating it- but I found large parts of it to be droll, repetitive, annoying, ugly, and not particularly interesting. Good writing? Sure. Good environment and enemies? Meh. IMO, most of it svcked eggs. DM doesn't sort out the 'good from the bad' players, it just sorts them between the ones who liked what they did with the DLC, and those who didn't.

Unarmed because of the Bear Trap Fist. But then again I always play with Unarmed as primary or secondary skill so I'm just experienced with it. Lots of VATS required.

Guns are ineffective in this DLC. Either Unarmed with said Fist or Energy Weapons with Holorifle.
