I wish Fallout 4 had more authentic weapons like this.

Personally i much more prefer Bethesda's original design to having 51 different variations of M16 or AK-74.

Though i do want a Dragunov :hehe:

What for? To turn Fallout in to yet another casual shooter? Fallout is unique in it's alternative setting and retro atmosphere and it would be pity if it lost it.

Much prefer Fallout to have unique and different weaponry, not the bog standard, "this is what we have in the real world, lets copy those"

I hear you OP. The weight is still horrendous though. The same author also has a version of the R91 up as well...the weight is a bit better. Once we get the toolkit, we can edit these ourselves.

There is also an HK G3 here:

A USP match .45 here:

Add if you're looking for a stand-alone antimateriel rifle, you can get that here (it's actually an add-on bonus with a fantastic set of NCR Ranger armor):

From an aesthetic standpoint, it just wouldn't work very well. The original fallout included some "realistic" weapon designs, but they were sparse. You could get something that looked like an H&K MP5, as well as a Desert Eagle...but most of the guns were made-up versions that better captured the "days of future past" feeling.

I prefer the present model of guns that may be reminiscent of real weapons while being wholly unique to the alternate-history universe. (Like Chinese military using AK-ish weapons. As a German WW II design, and China being subverted by both Germany and Japan during the war...it makes me wonder what happened in China after WW II in the Fallout universe. Seems like they may have become THE eastern power, instead of the USSR.)

If they took some of the real world current designs and make them retro-futuristic so they can be fully moded would be best.

I guess the M14/16 could work if they make it so you can convert it from the Service rifle to the assault rifle and marksmens rifle?

can't wait for console mods. i don't hate the fallout weapons, but i would rather have real ones. the assault rifle looks like a cross between a liquid cooled ww1 belt fed and an m249, and i don't really like it. i'll take an m4 plz. i like the combat rifle's look, but i would love to see my m1a scout instead. the combat shotgun in game looks just like the combat rifle, and i would much rather have a real looking shotgun. maybe a benelli.

I like the "steampunky" look of the Assault Rifle, myself. It's what I've been using for a while now. It's a nice "small arm" to use with Power Armor, too. Really fits the overall vibe much better than a hunting rifle!

I'll hand you the Combat Shotgun vs. Combat Rifle thing, though. That was a bit lazy. At-a-glance, you can't really even tell them apart. I'd like to see a distinctive, boxy look to the Combat Shotgun.

I like the pipe guns used in this game.Adds to the post-apocalyptic feel. Not very realistic, you'd have to be a gunsmith with access to some pretty complex machinery to make those, but who cares.I only wish the .44 magnum was not the most powerful handgun in the game.I have a .44 mag and I love it,don't get me wrong. But I also have a Smith and Wesson .500 mag.Handgun cartridges have gone way beyond the .44 magnum.I hoped to see something bigger

I agree completely, I know there are folks passionate the other way. but the weapon design they have fits with the world and helps my immersion intensely.. I actually find weapons that look too much like real ones a little jarring.

I miss the Shotgun Fist from Fallout 1 and 2. Coolest idea for an unarmed weapon ever. It was a glove and pressure plate covering the knuckles. Shotgun shell gets loaded into a chamber on the back of the hand. Then you punch someone in the face. BOOM. Kibbles.

I like the look of all the weapons in the game...EXCEPT the assault rifle.
I really hope this Mod makes it's way to the PS4.
